Schwarzkopf speed racers reign supreme! I hope to ride the Whizzer when I am in Chicago in mid October. I know SFGAm will be open then, but does anyone know if the Whizzer is likely to be running?? This is the main reason I want to go. I am concerned about the weather at that time of the year.
Sooperdooperlooper (Hershey Park)
Scorpion (BGT)
Wildcat (CP)
Mindbender (SFoG)
Lazer Loop (KW)
Greezed Lightin' (SFAstroworld)
Revolution (SFMM)
and last but not least
Greased Lighin' (PGA) just got to ride this one this year.
Looking over this list, I see not a bad one in the bunch.

What's life if you never get to the Point?

The Jumbo Jet was intense. From the moment it came off the hill until the station brakes it didn't let up.It was relentless from the word go.There was a reason for all the padding that was in those cars.
I rode WildCat once in my day.

Anybody been on that Olympia Looping Bahn coaster?

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
intense is the word of choice...
was kw woods laser loop a schwarzkopf, of was it intamin, anyway i rode the laser loop, my only schwarzkopf coaster ever. Anyway, the laser loop looked like a schwarzkopf. Those coasters must be really intense with only lapbars as restraints.

Laser loops designer was Schwarzkopf. The builders were Schwarzkopf and Intamin.

I've been on Mindbender at SFoG, I wasn't expecting much by the looks of it but boy was I surprised. I held my hands up until we hit the bottom of the first loop and I had no chance of keeping them up due to the G's, it was sweet. I think Mindbender is the best coaster in the park along with Batman:TR.
When and where was the last 'new' Schwarzkopf built? (not a relocation)
Mindbender (SFOG)
Scorpion (BGT)
Montezooma's Revenge (KBF)
The Whizzer (SFGA)
The Wilcat (CP)
Revolution (SFMM)
My favorite was the Mindbender. This is an intense ride. The inverted third loop pulls the most G's I have every experienced on a coaster.

One that I know of, Greezed Lightnign at PGA, formally known as the Tidal Wave. It is not a real G puller but it has a good launch, big loop, and no OTSRs.

RIDDLER'S REVENGE: THE MOST UNDERRATED RIDE IN THE WORLD!!!!
Weren't the Zambezi Zinger at WOF (now removed) and the Whizzer at SFGrAm clones? I always assumed that was some pre-fab design that was common in a lot of parks. I think SFSL used to have one. Is the Whizzer really the only one left?
Yes, the Whizzer is the only one left at least in this country. I think the Zinger was purchased by a foreign country but I could be wrong. Anyone know if this is true?

The only speedracers that I knew of were:
Willard Whizzer (MGAms now SFGAm and PGA)
Zambezi Zinger (WoF)
Big Bend SFoT.
SFGAm still has theirs (of course). PGA & SFoT dismantled theirs and ZZ is hanging out in South America (Columbia I think). Also, I dont think they were a standard model. They were Jumbo Jets, modified to be park installations. I think there was some slight variation b/w the models.
"I think SFSL used to have one."
They almost had one! You see when they removed Big Bend from SFOT they were going to rebuild it at SFSL but they never did. I think they wanted to build it later on but the parts were rusted or something.

Name of Ride: Roller Coaster
Yeah, I know its a roller coaster, whats the real name?
I rode
Mindbender (SFoG)
Viper(SFoG)
Wildcat (CP)
Sooperdooperlooper (Hershey Park)
Scorpion (BGW)
I love the mindbender and it is in my home park. The best part is watching all the people's hands fly down during the three loops. The G's are intense. I also LOVE the Scorpion and rode it about ten times when I was there.

SP we hardly knew Ye
Wildcat at CP and Shockwave at SFoT. I'm really surprised that I'm the first to list Shockwave. Great old ride with amazing air and killer g's in the loops!
