Speaking of N:TOP, Robocoaster brought me a great T-shirt last night that was very appropo. I promise to wear it to Solace.

It was really great to see and meet 2 new buzzers as well. Ben (Railshark) was a hoot, and Maddie (Chernabog-I still don't know what the hell that means) was sweet, and very kind to me, in spite of being the East coaster that is uncomfortable about hugging! ;)

I love this site, as it's really allowed me to enjoy the community, and try to find my place within it, regardless of being a coaster geek or not.

I think I've been +8 at one point. Of course, I was with "The New Hottness" that day, so that could be one reason and I can't complain either way. It definitely rubbed (or "Rob"bed?) off. ;)

Chernabog is, most famously, featured in Walt Disney's Fantasia -- A Night on Bald Mountain. It's based on Ukranian mythology. I always wanted my own minions and harpies.

Is it so obvious that I'm weird about hugging? I was taught never to touch anyone, don't speak unless spoken to...stuff like that. Y'know, one of the few polite children ever.

I had a blast last night, even if Chop Suey's vodka made me sick. It was greating meeting you and Tomoko and the rest of the bands. I felt cool -- an occurence worthy of a National holiday and trombones and everything.

I can't believe I didn't know that about Fantasia. I love the "Bald mountain" scene. My fave piece in the movie.

Thanks to you too for a fun evening. Actually, Tomoko was the one who noticed your affinity towards hugging. She asked me on the drive home if East coasters were more "hug-phobic" than us silly Left coasters. I didn't even notice, actually. I just said she was proper, etc. Tomoko thought it was cute, and said well...."she'll just have to deal with it. This is what I do." ...and with that, we went home, cuddled by the heating ducts at home, and fell asleep, full well knowing new friends, and being the better for it. :)

I tried watching Fantasia and started having LSD flashbacks. Then I realized it was just the movie. I don't think I will ever be able to appreciate it.

bill, glad to know that "the Fantasia effect" wasn't *just me*....those guys in the 20s and 30s, THEY knew how to party....I guess California never changes....;)
