how long would you last??

as posted in the news section, richard rodreiguez(excuse my spelling, but his last name is spelled wierd)just rode expedition G-force for 100+ days.

my question to you is, how long could you ride a specific coaster? for me, i would probably ride something like apollos chariot. it would have to be in the front row though. last i remember, it was smooth as glass there and there was hardly any airtime. that being a good thing because it would be kinda hard to sleep if i was getting airtime after every hill.

i could probably drag it out a long time. if i really wanted to set a record, i could probably ride for a few months maybe, but i havent actually done it, so i cant promise anything.

with that said, who thinks they could do it?

I'd do Taxi Jam for a year ;)

Rollin Thunder SFGADV I could do for months. It would be quite fun. Only on the left side though.
Haha good one! I'd most likely ride Wildfire. That ride is just awesome and so smooth! I could go forever on that ride!...or as long as the park would let me.

Medusa, they might have to close it down to not maintain it :). I think I could do any smooth steel or wood coaster for a good 4 months (not that I would want to, it might ruin coasters for me). A rough and tough arrow or poorly maintained woodie, on the other hand, as long as the ibuprofen lasts.

105 coasters, and the Cyclone still tops 'em all.

I, as have others on this board, have been in a few photo shoots.

I did MF ALL day, about 8 hours. It wasn't too bad. I got a 45 minut lunch break in the middle of the shift though, so maybe it doesn't count. My point here is that it didn't make me ill enough to keep going like...

...Mantis did. I was deathly ill after only 9 laps in a row on Mantis. No big deal though. I got to sit out the 10th lap which was the last for the photo shoot. It was that day that I realized that I was getting old. It was the worst hour of my employment at CP. In contrast...

...Magnum was the greatest hour of my life. I rode for one hour exactly; 13 laps. I didn't want it to end. When I die and go to heaven, God will have a Magnum just for me. The most blissful event of my life.

All of these were very exciting. I spent these times with friends and co-workers. I got to bond with the entire train each shoot.

In conclusion, I can not last 1 hour on Mantis, but MF and Magnum I could possibly last forever. For me, it depends on the coaster.

I could last for forever but why would I want too?

I HAVE A LIFE FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD!!!!!

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

It really does depend on what coaster. I can't really say how long I would go because honestly I don't think anyone here knows how long they could actually last. Basically, if you put me on Magnum (my fav. coaster) and said "knock yourself out, tell me when you want off" I am not sure how long I would last because I have never done something like that. I would think after a month or so it would get tiring, and my body probably wouldn't appreciate it much (especially my thighs).

Yep, after 1 hour on Magnum I had a long horozontal bruise on my legs that lasted for a week. I didn't care though.

I already asked President of Kennywood, Henny Heninger, if I can break the record on Thunderbolt. But instead of getting a responce from him i got one from thier spokes person. She said no. I was sad but i broke my own record on it. I ended up rding the Thunderbolt 81 times during two visits in one season. That was back in 1999 when i was 13.

I think I could probably do it on Demon for a few months. I'd like to try it on Viper but I don't know how I could sleep on that beast. And well I want to be able to enjoy it so RB is out of the question "I know it's an outstanding coaster, but it just doesn't do anything for me" I'd try Batman TR but I do think I would get ill within a few hours.

Outside of SFGAm, I could easily ride Hoosier Hurricane for a few months (I think) I really enjoy that coaster, it has perfect floater air (if you want ejector air Cornball delivers that!) For that reason, I don't know how long I could last on Cornball, easily a week (I think) but after that I dunno, my legs would be battered I think from the extreme laterals an airtime (I wouldn't complain about that though!)

Tuesday's Gone With The Wind.
Elijah Rock.
Is it written in the stars?
La Vie Boheme!!!

I would never marathon on anything with loops. That said, I would probably never ride anything more than a day long.

TOGO!
Put me on the bull baby!!! or Viper at SFGAm!!! Either of those rides I could ride all day long!

To tell you the truth, I'd probably take it on Yankee Cannonball with someone like MikeMir87. You know, Canobie may just let you do that, as nice as that park is and all the publicity they would get from it. Pretty soon Six Flags would get jealous after Compounce and Canobie did it and they'll have they'll own marathon on Superman:Ride of Steel ;)

Hey PkI FaNaTiC, I'll join you on Wildfire. I'd probably sit on the second row, middle-left seat. Wildfire is so smooth!

Anyone who could last 100+ days on a wooden coaster is just plain crazy, you would get no sleep. I salute you Richard.

Dexter, of course Mantis was deathly, it's a standup coaster. I'd like to see someone ride that 10 hours a day, for only 25 days. Their nuts and legs would be killing them when they got off.

The brave soul is ridin' Expedition G-Force, which is very much (intamin)steel instead of wood

Werner Stengel: Ich sprich, denke und traĆ¼me Achterbahn!

I could do Millennium Force for as long as time allowed. I could also handle Alpengeist or Apollo's Chariot. Hell, I could even do Gemini a lot, as I love that helix at the end.

I think I could handle riding Wild Thing at VF from back in 1999 (when it was still super smooth) for a while. I got 30 some rounds in when they were testing the lift. That was great. A train full of employees. Didn't have to get out once. Quite nice.

I could do SKC for any period of time. Very rerideable due to it's non-existant forces. The only thing that may give you problems during when you try and sleep is the zero-G roll. Other than that it's nothing. I very nearly fell asleep while I rested my eyes on it...
