How long should I spend at SFWoA?

Hi! I am planning a June trip to SFWoA and was wondering how much time I should plan to fully experience the amusement part of the park (as opposed to the marine life park and the water park). Do I need 2 days to really experience the rides?

Not really...at least IMO...I needed only 1/2 day.

Half a day is plenty. We did the whole park last May in about half a day, including rides on all coasters, a number of spin and pukes, and several snack of food that is bad for us.

Yeah, but they'll have the new flying coaster which will draw more people.

I went half a day last August during the week and the park filled up by 2pm, but that was summer time crowds.

You're going in June, if you go before the schools are out, then you have a chance. Since you don't want to see the water side of the park, I'd say 1 day. Just be at the gate before the park opens so you can beat the crowd. *** This post was edited by robvia on 4/25/2001. ***
When do all the schools break up in June then, I am going to Ohio too in June and am going early June, so I am guessing I should be OK with Crowds. Am visiting CP on Monday and Tuesday so that will be good. but it looks like I will be visiting SFO on Friday and Saturday, so that might means longer crowds over the two days I guess. Was debating whether to spend 1-2 at SFWOA, but looks like I will spend 2 days there anyway, I dont care, Will spend most of the 2 days on X-Flight anyway, so I wont get bored ;);)

Go on a weekday= empty, then they let you stay on the rides too, even SUE, and Batman KF

If you want to *fully* experience it, I'd say about 1 day. Maybe you might like to try out the simulator too on the Marine Life side.

I would plan for a full day. If you want to catch the shows and repeat some the rides then plan for 2. You should be able to do a straight coaster run in less than one day if that is what you want.
Us, the teenage punks of NE Ohio, get out of school at the end of the week of June 5. If you go on June 11 I'll see you there. Can't wait. I suggest a full day. I rode all the coasters last year in about 5 hours, but then I had to leave. With X-flight and the expansion, I definatly suggest a full day because of crowds. This once again brings up the big fat fish or coaster debate. I am betting the Marine side will be void of anyone under 55 and over 3. So I expect the coaster part to be at least somewhat populated.

I doubt it. (Ex)Sea World world attractions get to be very popular, with all ages. I have been to Sea World (Florida) when it has been unbelievably packed, with everyone from little kids, to teens, to adults, to seniors. I mean packed. And by the way, it was a wednesday. So, you never know.
