How long are Lines at Kennywood?

How long will the lines be on a Friday?

Kennywood lines are short like any other park of its size - PR will be about an hour (unless the second car is working now) at the height of the day. Every other ride will be 15-30 minutes wait. Thunderbolt and Racer lines are deceptively fast. Aero360 for the end seats can take almost an hour, but it is really worth the wait. If you don't feel like waitng though, again 15-30 minutes.

And check out the band too! They have as much fun performing as you do watching!

I believe it all depends on the day you visit.

We were there last Friday and the longest lines were for Exterminator (16 minute line at around 5 pm).

Thunderbolt was a one to three train wait (or even at times a walk on, depending on what seat).

Phantom's Revenge was a two or three train wait for seats other than the first or last (and this was with only one train running). We never saw the line extend out side of the station all day.

Racer was a one or two train wait.

Jack Rabbit was around a 15 to 20 minute wait.

All lines were short and the crowd was relatively light. And it wasn't because of the weather... it was a beautiful day.

There were no school picnics scheduled for this past Friday, which can make a BIG difference in the crowds. Group picnics are still one of Kennywood's big cash cows...

All the woodies when they have two trains are at least a 15min wait, and the phantom Revenge can be up to an hour if not running the second train, you have to hit it lucky to be there when they have the second train! And yes it is worth the wait for the End seats on the Aero360:)

I'm going Friday the 12th but can't get there until around 2 because were coming from Cedar Point.
You'll easily finish the entire park by like 9 or 10pm. PR closes at 1030 but racer jackrabbit and thunderbolt stay open til like 11 or 1130 depending on how busy it is - if you keep riding them over and over and get the last ride of the nite, you can usually get more than one straight ride on the woodies - one nite three years ago I got 5 straight rides on Thunderbolt without even having to get up - we'd come back and teh operator would ask us if it was anyone's bday and we all raised our hands so they didnt really even let us come to a complete stop in the station, we just kept going right thru ...

I went on a Saturday in August last year. Here are the waits for the coasters (at that time):

Thunderbolt: 10min

Jack Rabbit: 5min

Racer: 12min

Phantom's Revenge: 1 1/2 hrs

Exterminator: 30min

There aren't tons of people in the park, thank god, because the workers there are SO slow. You'll have all the rides done in plenty of time, but I can never help but complain in the Phantom line about the hour wait when it could really be 15 minutes if they somewhat tried to have decent ride capacity. Not a bad park, though, and if the Exterminator wait is long, don't ride it, it's dull, and frankly, I can walk faster than the trains move. Remember to ride all the other rides, though, alot of history behind them.
If there are large crowds, Phantom will run two trains. Last Friday was a slow day and all coasters were only running one train (no need for anymore.) Paratrooper, Kanagroo and the Whip are all now operating also. Don't miss out on these rides, you never know what could happen.
Actually I walked right on P.R.,Racer,Jackrabbit.Waited 11/2 for Exterminator and 2 hours for Thunderbolt.

For those about to ride......we salute you!!

Went two weeks ago. 20 min wait for the woodies. 30 min wait for PR and Exterminator. PR has been runing two trains pretty consistently.

"How long will the lines be on a Friday?"

This sounds like a job for Magic 8 Ball! "Oh wise and powerful Magic 8 Ball, will the lines be long at Kennywood Park on Friday for Medusafanatic?"

"Outcome unclear." -M8B

So there you have it. This one is even too tough for Magic 8 Ball. It looks like ANYTHING could happen.
