For such a small ride does it deliver what it should ?
Do you think B&M did a Good job on this ride ?

B&M said that alton towers asked for a family ride, and a family ride is what they got. it wasnt designed to deliever amazing forces and stunning inversions, just simply the feeling of flight. it does what its designed to do.
Its crap.- and thats coming from someone who has such an affinity with towers he has a tattoo! And someone who's politically correct and appreciates all contributions to the coaster industry...! Esp B&M! Its no family ride either laurence- no one who entertains the teacups and minetrain as their biggest rides will go anywhere near AIR, or anything that looks like it.
The SW trilogy is that towers installs a major thrill ride every 4 years, with a family ride, a spinride, and usually a couple of shows in between. SW5-AIR was installed as a thrill ride. Press statements that the ride is focussing on the feeling of flight contradict statements from last year detailing the latest in high tech thrills, new generation coaster etc.- Alton's cover up statements might as well say they're dissappointed with it to!
Considerring B&M did a prototype with only 1 hitch when the lowerring mechanism broke, they obviously did a good job. They did fantastic jobs with Nem & Ob, delivering thrilling results without going above tree level, cause they went deep underground. AIR doesn't, after the tree high lift, it doesn't fluctuate more than 20 or so ft above or below ground level, and so doesn't gather much speed, overrall, its pretty slow.
