I believe it goes 13 MPH. It reaches the top of the lift hill in 21 seconds. I hope that helps.

If I remember right, when they announced it they said it would go up the lift at 15 ft per second, which then would give you the 21.

Just as a point of reference, a normal chain-lift travels at about 3-4 mph, right?

I thought normal chains went about 5-10 mph.

I was told by one of the ride ops last year (after seing my friends ace shirt) that the cable goes 13 mph. I jus hope he was right

The numbers that I have heard for the cable are 13-14 mph when traveling at full speed. The sources on that are pretty good.

Normal chains are in the vicinity of 3-6 mph. I don't know just how fast the lift is on Knobel's High Speed Thrill Coaster when they really open the throttle, but it feels fast.

Not sure why there is still a debate about the speed of MF lift hill. Look at the link that MillineumXL200 provided you with.

I quote direct from CP sources:
"How fast does the train ascend the first hill?
The Millennium Forceā„¢ train ascends the first hill in 22 seconds, at 20 feet per second. That's 13 miles per hour. "
