How far is Magic Mountain from Las Vegas?

Yes, Mapquest says it is 7hrs from Phx to SFMM, but we make it there in 5 - 5 1/2 hrs.

Try taking the 58 West to the 14 South (note that there are two 58 exits. Make sure you get the correct exit. Best to check on a map or mapquest).

This route, while slightly longer than the Pearblossom route mentioned, tends to be faster. The 58 is two lanes each way for a good portion of the trip. The speed limit is generally faster as well. All in all I can easily do Chatsworth to the Strip in 4 1/2 with a stop for food/gas and a stop for the bathroom.

Look into it. It's a route that has served my friends and I well.

I'm going there in july myself and would also suggest using southwest. I'm only paying 85.00 round trip and that includes taxes.

Thats's it, CA-58.....that was the route I was talking about and couldnt figure it out. I like that way better coming back though...its just tradition to ride over all those hills on the way to SFMM.

One other cool thing about heading back to vegas on the 58 is that the sunset is really cool, especially if it is slightly cloudy in the distance.

Doing this drive myself in June .Cant wait this will be the 5th TIME in Vegas for me and MM always seems to far ...NOT this time wild horses coilndt keep me away fom X.

Remember, RCDB tells you exactly how far Las Vegas is from SFMM if you went directly knocking down everything in your path. You have to take a few freeways to go from Las Vegas to SFMM making the drive probably around 5 hours.
