Well, as an Ohioan, The farthest distance was Vegas by plane, by car, it was Disney, with stops at Dollywood, SFoG and Lake Winnie along the way

(A similar topic.. this is more for driving factor though)
Japan, Canada, and both coasts, although none were strictly coaster trips.  It's nice to be able to arrange time to do coasters through my job!

- Peabody

Ive gone as far as florida to ride one coaster well really two (duelling dragons) I'd later go to sea world and bgt.
The farthest straight coaster trip was to LA from here in Michigan. Last year alone we traveled to Florida, Las Vegas, and a big trip east. Then add in HW twice, CP 3 times, SFGAm, MA - we easily traveled 10,000 miles - pretty much to ride coasters.

I think I need Peabody's job!

I have been to many different countries, but last year, after SD2K was built, I arranged a specific trip to Nagashima Spaland.  I never go to Japan in summer, as it is so terribly hot (read that as 116 degrees on five of the days I was there, whatwith 85 percent humidity), and my in-laws don't have air-conditioning in their home.  I rode the bus up to Nagoya to stay the night before my trip to Spaland the next day.  It rained like a monsoon all night, and when I awoke in the morning, the rains were still coming.  I flew around the world for this?  I basically said to my wife "damn the rain, I am going!"  So, off to Spaland, where there was absolutely no line, and no promises from the park that any rides, besides the water park (which was strangely closed for an hour) would be open for the entire day.  Around noon, the clouds and rain broke enough for me to get 1 ride in, and later in the day another.  The park is roughly the size of CP, and there might have been 2000 people in all.  So, as you can imagine, the lines were really short, and it was worth a shot, but thank God it panned out.  What a horrible waste if not.........

Check out my website!
I live in Portland,Oregon and the coaster furthest from my home I have ridden is the Dania Beach Hurricane in Dania Beach,Florida. The next day we left on a Carribean cruise, but for me the highlight of this trip was my rides on the DBH.
I live in MI and the furthest I've been to date is Mass/CT to ride SROS, the Riverside Cyclone and BD. I haven't gone very far south at all with SFKK being the extent of that (though I plan to visit Visionland sometime in the next couple of years) and west isn't even worth talking about yet with Chicago being as far as I've gone in that direction. That'll be changing for the better this year though as I'm planning to hit CA as well as Vancouver/Idaho on two seperate trips.

* The Legend @ HW
* Superman: Ride of Steel @ SFNE

The furthest i've gone for just coasters is Cedar Point, i live close to HW so thats like 8 hours.

This summer I plan on visisting Europe to go to a few parks
From here in FL, I've gone as far as Ohio, for now anyway.  California is my next trip, but that won't be for a while, since I'll be spending my summer in Ohio again.  Anyone who'll be making a trip to Ohio this summer, come pay me a visit.  (Check the sig)

Wow...I read the title of this thread and thought of something else, completely unrelated to coasters... :)

The farthest I've gone for coasters is not far at all, about 4-5 hours away from home.  This summer will bring a trip to Holiday World and POSSIBLY SFStL, so that record will be broken.

Somedays it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.
As a Hoosier, I think mainly the farthest I've gone is to California. I went in the summer of 2001, and I visited 2 parks! Six Flags Marine World and Paramount's Great America are the best parks I visited in California but I'm sure Six Flags Magic Mountain will be the best if I visit it! :)

Ive gone to Florida from NW Ohio, and Im planning on going to California this summer.
