How does Volcano Blast compare to B&M inverts?

It's a good ride, but can't compare to Alpengiest(I don't know if spelled that right.)
I love B&M's but, Volcano is one of my favorite coasters!
A few people here have descibed the reasons for that perfectly.
The blast out and inversion out of the Volcano is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The hang time in the barrel rolls is 'to die for'.
I love upside-down and sideways hang time...this ride delivers that better than any other coaster I have been on.

I just wanted to ask something to the people that call Volcano mediocre or boring. Will you also say cp #16 is madiocre or boring after you ride it because its only launch/up/top hat/down,twist/brakes? (Yes I know its not even close in size and speed but just trying to make a point) I have not rode Volcano myself but do look forward to it. I went to PKD the year Volcano was to open but it opened late and I missed it by a week, haven't got to go back since. Also wasn't Volcano the worlds first LIM launched invert? (Let me now if I am wrong I may be) I am glad Intamin had the guts to build it, I just wish I could get back so I can ride it.

I love B&M's also, have they made a LIM launched invert yet? I love LIM launches, The Hulk is my favorite coaster.

I think that's two different things.

When you get on CP's #16, you're expecting an amazing launch, and some freakishly insane sensation coming down from 400 feet in the sky through a nearly 360 twist. It doesn't offer anything else. You get what you see.

I think the people that think Volcano to be a little lackluster expected more out of it than it could provide. I did, and I thought it was cool, but it also sort of plods along through the rolls at a leisurely pace.

It's main problem, in my mind, is that after the launch and shot out of the top of the mountain, the ride drops off. When it starts to get good, it's over. I came away feeling that the rolls were sort of 'filler' (no pun intended), and that the excitement level I experienced was steadily dropping after the main launch, which came so (relatively) soon in the ride.

I liked Volcano better than some B&M inverts (Batman: The Ride comes to mind...) but I'd gladly ride any of the later B&M models, such as Raptor, Montu, Alpie, or Great Bear in Volcano's place.

My last post sounded bad, I hate to cut others opinions down. I-Nar, I can see your point about expecting more from it. I am really expecting a lot from it since I have had to wait so long, I hope I am not let down also.
