How does Robb and Elissa Do it!?

I have talked to several parks andother people and the only thing I can come up with is that They have to sneak the camera on the ride, because it sure doesn't seem that they get media privalages to these parks. What is some of your guys input.
Actually, Robb had one of his eyes replaced with a spherical optical camera, so he can just record whatever he looks at. Of course he had to have half of his frontal lobe removed to fit the recording equipment in there.

Robb and Elissa have stated (on this forum) that they never take a camera on a ride when it's not permitted.

Weird. Why would they feel it necessary to hide the camera from the ride ops until they got on the lift when I was with them at Superman Ultimate Flight (SFoG) Media Day last year? Surely if they had permission from the park the ride ops would have known about the camera and all that, and no need to hide it right?

Also, I never saw the very beginning of Xcelerators launch on their POV they got on that rides Media Day. I'm guessing that if they had permission they would have been holding the camera up for each and every second of that sweet lookin' launch. I wonder why you don't see the whole thing then?

I also wonder if they'll be at Top Thrill Dragster's Media Day on Thurs...

Well Joe, it's simple...

They're just not supposed to have it. At SFOG, no cameras/loose objects are permitted on the rides, particularly SUF.

So, basically, they are breaking the rules. I'm not getting concerned about it, I don't care a whole lot to be honest, but they are technically breaking the rules.

Oh well.

I hear SFoG is one of the parks they don't send a video to. ;)

Cedar Point is the next park that won't be accepting any videos either....

Robb gets proper permission. I admire the way he can hold onto those cams. I wouldn't have the patience to pull off what he has!

I can assure you the only people who get permission to do on ride videos are professional firms that the park (SFOG) hires out to shoot pictures of the rides. Even so, on ride pictures are done with a camera mounted to each train, not held by a rider.

In other words, the park doesn't give anyone, including enthusiasts, permission to take articles such as cameras on board.

PGA has a good policy, take it on then it's your problem. They will let you take ANYTHING on (with few limits.)

Yeah, but Robb is taking a risk bringing it on as well, if he did let go of the camera, he knows the damage it could cause, I bet he has one hell of a good grip on it and possibly a back-up "restraint" for the camera if he would lose his grip. But I could be completely wrong.

Warning: I do not think like the average person. My remarks have plenty of thought behind them. Take it for what it's worth, if you disagree, please, feel free to express it, but don't put me down because of it.

I don't doubt he's very careful, but at SFOG at least, what he's doing isn't in compliance with the rules.

At least we can hope he's being very careful with it.

We can really do without the Robb and Elissa bashing nonsense. 99% of the enthusiast community could care less what anybody thinks of them or their actions. Let's move along now...
