OK first of all I just wanna say that whoever phyter is, he's insane but thank God for insane people. That Eiffel Tower if I had to guess took a total of 48 hours So don't expect to be able to make that EVER. Making supports is a fairly easy concept but incredibly time consuming, just to do Millenium force supports on the lift takes about an hour or more. First off you choose a track node or two and place them where you want the supports to attatch to the track, make sure you have add support feature selected as well. Then you choose free node and put it in the air (top view is good idea) just put two down a little bit away from the track depending on what style support you want. then go into side view and place free nodes where you want the supports to meet, making a structure. Connect all your nodes with the type of metal piece you want, and then put in the ground nodes (don't quote me on the name) Finally connect the bottom free nodes to the ground nodes and you should have some type of structure. However, if you're building a B&M, just put in the supports that come with the game because B&M's supports are not in structures like that. Well their are instructions that are as brief as they can get. Hope I helped you out!
