How do you grade coasters?

I don't think that the station should always be taken into account. Some people still care about the coaster much more than the station. For someone like me who enjoys just making the coaster, the pressure of always making a fancy station has grown to the point where it is much harder and less fun for me to make the station. I think that when the station is good, you should be rewarded heavily, but if it is not present, you shouldn't grade on the fact that it's not there. Also you should grade on usability.

I also think that if it is possible that people grade in catagories like on coastergames if that is possible Jeff.

My coasters don't seem to get downloaded much. Is there anyone who is very good that can look at my coasters and suggest improvements? It would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I grade a coaster on the ratings of the coaster, the realism, and the staion usually in that order depending on the coaster type. If your going to build a Giga, hyper twister, wooden, or an arrow hyper coaster then I"m going to grade you on the station more because the ratings are easy to make good. Most of the other types of coasters present a challenge in the ratings. I would like to see someone build a b+m inverted or standup coaster and get a verh high excitement, high intensity rating. So it is a must for me to rate anyone that they have the ratings in the picture with the coaster.

This is kinda what I think:

Title/Color Scheme 10%

Is it fitting and vibrant?

Station 10%

Regular station pieces by themselves are not realistic, but fancy designs are not necessary

Theming, landscape, terrain 10%

It's not that important, but adds to your coaster

Layout/Practicality 15%

I dont mind wacky designs, but 19 inversions on a coaster that is all over the place is not good.

Ratings 15%

A good coaster has high excitement, fairly hight intensity, and low nausea- a 9.5+ intesity or 6+ nausea is unacceptable

Operations 30%

A good coaster uses block sections and can run more than one train (if large enough), have good pacing, and minimal stacking- stopping at block brakes for more than 1-2 seconds is unacceptable!

Favorite Coasters:
1)MF 2)Raging Bull 3) Magnum XL-200 4)Rock N' Roller Coaster 5)Raptor

What's the other 10%?

Anyway, I have yet to upload a coaster because I don't make beautiful stations and I don't think anybody would appreciate mine because of that.

I personally look for realism, I love being realistic and pretending while I'm playing RCT2 that this is my park that I just opened with this budget and I try to be realistic with that. When I look on Coasterbuzzgames, I "pretend" that I'm at a tradeshow deciding what I can afford for that park, what it will do for that park, and then I download it. Because you probably think I'm super odd now and my tastes are different, I have also yet to rate.
