Where do you get your information from like new rides and events that take place at parks? Do you use a certian search format or have inside information?

Your best source is always the Lemon Chill Guy.
I like to use the "Guess My Weight" workers....there the best source (second to Miss Cleo, of course).
Happy Coastering!

What I don't get here on the 'buzz, or on URC, I make up.....sure it may be interpreted as starting rumors, but I always qualify my GUESSES as just that. I enjoy the game of trying to figure out what makes the most business-sense, and most of the time prefer my ideas to what the parks actually do.....but I'm biased...
BTW, freakylick, love the sig!

Where do parks make there pres realeases?
Well, all a press release is, is just a text document sometimes accompanied by images or background and is distributed to the media and press describing whatever it is that they are announcing. There is usually a standard format for amusement parks, there are like headings, dates, and a tailer...etc

You are my hero! This is my job at Knotts! So, if anyone wants to know what Knotts is getting, I think its my responsibility to know!

Nothing... NOTHING... can prepare you for... the Fourth Dimension!
How do I get my info?
A few ways.
1) on an email list for Hersheypark (my home park... also get "press releases" for the Hershey Bears hockey team that way too)
2) keep an eye on RCDB to see what is "Under Construction"
3) Right here on CoasterBuzz
4) and (hanging my head in shame) even reading what is said over at CoasterForum (the old ThrillRide board)... but not believeing most of it.

-Coaster Club News Letters
-Amusement industry site that I can not reveal
-Fincial reports from major vendors and suppliers of rides-to wood-to steel- to small parts
-Follow up research on suspicions submitted to me
-Daily browsing of a select few sites
-The AI Advantage, a very informative newsletter on the industry
-My jobs of course, I go over or maintain the park rumors or discussions at three sites
Your best source for early info is your town board. If you want to follow up on a certain park check the ________'s(town in which park is located) City Board and _______Zoning Department. Almost every major attraction goes by them in their Town Meetings, and it is vommon for them to document all there meeting and put them on their sites. Now it can get boring sometimes going through all those documents, but your garunteed to come across something for ______ park each year that must go by the board.
