how do you get it started

i just downloaded it and i cant figure out how to start the game

Click on the Start button. Click Programs. Game should be under NoLimits Coaster Simulator or something like that. Click on NoLimits Simulator for the real game, click on the Editor to design, build, edit yours or other's tracks. Awesome game, be careful, I found it more addicting than RCT! Hard to believe!

I cant ride stuff and build now

if my download got stopped by my brother will i be able to resume

That's because you have downloaded the demo.  You can't save and ride your own tracks in the demo, so you'll have to buy the full version if you want that.

I'd suggest reading the Technical Guide that was included with the game (start, program files, NoLimits, Techincal Guide).  It will explain how to do everything if you take the time to read through it.
