How did Premier Parks start?

We all know how SF started and got bought out by Premier, my question is, how did Premier Parks start?

Okay, PP-SF I don't have the answer, but I am sure you can search for it, I found the initial buy out press release.  But i don't wanna find it again.  But PP is not offical Six Flags Inc.  But I was just searching SFMM operating hours, on the 21st they are open until 1 a.m.  Could this be a sign(hint X opening).
I know about PP-SF but how did Premier Parks start?

Well.....I don't have my facts absolutley straight, but from what I had heard, was Gary Story was a Real Estate Developer, and was going to close down Frontier City (after the owner of it sold the land to Story) for a new housing development.

Well, after an outcry, they decided to leave it open 1 more season.
Apparently, Story realized how much cash parks bring in, so he began to invest in other parks that were finacially in a slump. Funtime Inc was a first choice (owners of Geauga lake, Wyandot lake and Darien Lake) and was picked up quickly. And so was Riverside, Great Escape, Elitch gardens etc......

Story began sinking in lots of money and advertising them significantly, in which made each park grow in value and brings us to where we are today.....

Also, you should note, that Six Flags Inc. still has headquarters in Oklahoma City

Thats The best I can do, But I need Rideman to set it straight
