How are Cedar Point's Hotels?

But, you cannot walk across the Causeway. No pedestrians there.
Yep....it's Cedar Point's way of guaranteeing revenue from people who stay off site...when you compare how far you walk all day, it's not that far...

I love the lighthouse point. It looks bigger than it looks from the outside. Great View of Mean Streak and Lake Erie. One Question....We haven been n the hotel breakers hotel so I wanted to know how many beds are in the room?

Breakers and Sandcastle truly rock -- with the convenience of being just a short walk away from your room if you want to take a break from the heat.

Stayed at the old Breakers wing the first time out and it was, as advertised, old. No elevators. Rinky decor. But once I was able to see the Corkscrew right outside my window, I was hooked. Was it overpriced in the low $100s, maybe -- but we'd do it again in a heartbeat if we had to.

Last year we took out one of the Camp Snoopy rooms in the second floor of the new Breakers wing. The theming of the room was nothing to crow about, the kids liked the free Snoopy plush and beach bucket playkit, but it was definitely updated digs over the original wing rooms.

Every meal I've had at Breakers has been mediocre at best, but it's like the three keys to real estate: location, location, location. And, on a day where it's too hot to stand out in the sun, they have a covered pool area that's pretty nice.

Sandusky during park season is no bargain anyway. So, in my opinion, staying onsite is a perk worth paying for. The half-hour early entry this season will also save you a whole lot of time in line too.

Well, money may have been the original reason they set up the toll booths but safety is a larger issue for not walking over the causeway today. Some people are so awed by what they see coming that they don't pay attention to the road.

#1 Coaster Fan, your best bet is to check CP's website. You can get anywhere from a single to a suite, and Lighthouse Point cabins and cottages sleep even more.

SandCastle Suites have two rooms...bedroom with 2 queen sized beds, and a sitting room with a sleeper sofa.

Breakers Express rooms are nice. The one we stayed in had two queen sized beds.

Take it from another person who has stayed at Breakers Express. It is worth every penny.

My advice to anyone staying at Breakers Express is to buy a parking pass(I believe they were fifty dollars last year, they may have gone up in price). You can come and go as you want. plus it saved us like 5-10 minutes at the gate since they just wave you through.

.....just thinking (can't stop myself, no use trying)......wouldn't it be great if Breaker's Express had a shuttle to the park to take you right to the gate? They could up their rates to make up for lost parking revenue, and make the guests "happy-happy". Help, Emeril's taking charge of my admittedly "pre-twisted" mind.....

....teachin' people about towel safety and proper towel usage...it's important!

THe Magic eight ball says definately maybe.
I booked a room at the hotle breakers, and its my first time so supose i have alot more to get then I exspect? Like others have said its the conveinance, im sure it must be great to walk 10mins to ur room from the park then drive 10mins to a hotle plus traffic, staying at the park all day no rest etc, how erlier do they let you in the park?, and hwich rides are open when they do?
Why are there about a dozen different threads about CP resorts on the same page? Are they all different questions?

i actually counted 9 topics on this page alone that have something to do with CP's hotels...go look into the other topics before posting a new one!!!

I agree the threads need to be consolidated. But on the question : if possible, stay at Breakers during the preseason, before the Ohio schools let out and Full Season begins. The rates are vastly less, as are the crowds. Lake Erie water is a bit cooler, but still swimmable. This year, the low rates lasted until June 7. And stay in the Old Wing. It's still nice, you see four coasters out your window, and rates are lower. Finally, try to go during the week. Crowds and rates are less.
