Visitors numbers at Hong Kong Disneyland were expected to hit 5.6 million when the park reaches the end of its third year of operation next month, up from 4.2 million the previous year, the South China Morning Post said citing unnamed sources.

I said it was possibly due to it.. I didn't say the Olympics encompassed all of the visitation statistics..
And since there were events held in Hong Kong for the Olympics.. 2000 miles must not be much of a deterrent. For that that same reason, I think it wouldn't deter people from extending their visit on the front or tail end of their trip to visit other sites in the area. No not a million.. but not 10 people either..
And I know this is differently answere by the enthusiast, but if you flew halfway around the world to one of the countries with the oldest and richest histories in the world, would you go to Disneyworld?
