Possibly due to lots of people flocking to the Olympics in Beijing and bulking in side trips while they are out there??

With it a thousand miles away and the fact that they didn't gain almost a million and a half in two weeks, I'm thinking that's not it.

I think its naive to totally discount the Olypmics from assisting in the numerical increase at Disney.. 2000 miles away is a 5 hour flight. VS half a world away (12+ hour flight) for most countries who would be interested in taking part in Disney..

I said it was possibly due to it.. I didn't say the Olympics encompassed all of the visitation statistics..

And since there were events held in Hong Kong for the Olympics.. 2000 miles must not be much of a deterrent. For that that same reason, I think it wouldn't deter people from extending their visit on the front or tail end of their trip to visit other sites in the area. No not a million.. but not 10 people either..

Are they all coming through the gates, or are people tossing each other over the fences again? :)

I would bet the stats were tabulated before the Olympics even started.

And I know this is differently answere by the enthusiast, but if you flew halfway around the world to one of the countries with the oldest and richest histories in the world, would you go to Disneyworld?
