Homepark Fun

I was just thinking about how often I go to SFGADV and how I find myself bored when I go. If you get bored of your homepark, what are some things you do to have fun while there? It'd be cool to hear what some people do at their homeparks.

"AHHH!! Oh wait, we didnt drop yet"

I don't go to my homepark alone anymore, because I do find myself bored. My homepark is SFEG, and trust me, with that few of coasters you can get bored. But I find it fun to marathon rides or go with a big group of friends. Make it a goal to ride every ride at least once or something. Any park can be fun if you make it fun.

My homepark is Idlewild and Soak Zone, It's small but I don't find myself bored.

Well, my homepark is Knoebels. So therefore, I generally don't get bored. :) Knoebels is the Holiday World of Pennsylvania! ;)

My home park is SFWOA and i never get bored..you guys should come to cleveland and ill show u how to have a good time....SFWOA boring?....never heard of a thing..lol
My home park is SFGAm so i never get bored. But occasionally i do so i make a game up in my head. Locate the biggest hick possible. It is a game of concentration that useually lasts all day. This one time the winner was a guy wearing a NASCAR tank top smoking a cigerette in line and then giving his 14 year oldish son the ciggerette to smoke. If that bores me then i like to watch for anything out of the ordinary.

Another thing to do is to attempt to ride S:UF as many times as you can in a row. Useually i can get 4 or 5 rides in a row with out the line getting HUGE or it breaking down.

LOL Dr. Strangelove. My home park is SFGAm too and I see alot of hicks there too.

If your bored of your home park, take a break from the park for a while that would probably work. I also try to look for new things around the park...

I usually don't get bored of PKD until the end of the season comes. After riding the same coasters over and over, it does seem boring. But, getting to ride other rides inbetween visits makes it all the better to return.

I usually find other rides more thrilling than the ones at PKD because they are new experiences for me. So, my top rides might seem odd, and some wonder why more PKD rides aren't in my list, and its for that reason. Sometimes I'm not sure if I enjoy going to SFA more than PKD because of their different rides. I even think Joker's Jinx is better. Than again, when I rode, the MCBR wasn't on, so the end was fantastic.

I usually only go to Hersheypark, my "homepark" (or any nearby park for that matter) alone when my wife has something that she has to do (working a weekend shift etc) and I have to find something to occupy my time. When I go alone, I usually use that time to ride and reride the coasters during the entire visit.

On a normal visit when we both go to HP, we do not stay for hours on end. So far all of our visits this year have occured on weeknights after I get home from work. We arrive around 7pm and stay until closing (10pm for all of our visits). This way we do not spend a huge amount of time at the park for each visit. Also, we do not try and hit the entire park on each visit. Usually Comet Hollow is a stop, but from there we usually pick an area and concentrate on that... Minetown, or Midway America, or Pionier Frontier. Or sometimes we only do the Flats. On one visit we only did water rides. Basically, when we do, we try not to get in the same old routine.

Kind of hard to take a post as objective if a park or coaster name is part of the "user name"

Let's see, I usually get bored with SFNE by August. Some fun things we do is blow like 5 dollars in quarters drenching people with the geysers on Shipwreck Falls, seeing who can give eachother the soarest back on the Stampede Bumper Cars, marathon flat rides, stuff like that.

Bored at Great Adventure. Not when there are so many hoochie mommas to check out, fellaz big pimpin' and oh yeah, they do have some nice rides and shows. Whenever I want to just chillout I just go to the lakeshore and feed the duckies.

Go Shawty, its ya Birthday!

I find it hard to believe that you could go to any park and get bored, I don't care how many times you go. You can always find a way to spice it up. Going alone makes room for it to get boring real quick. I only go alone to Dorney when I need to satisfy some thrills, I would never spend the day alone at a park, that screams loser to me. Going w/ a small group of friends can be fun or with a family member. Taking someone with you who has never been to the park before can be fun too. Hitting all the flats in one day, rollercoasters another day and water rides another day could also be fun. Marathoning on the rollercoasters, comparing the ride in different seats could spice things up. I find it hard to get bored at an amusement park, hence the name "amusement" park.

The Orlando area is my home park, so if I get board I got problems. So much to do so little time.

Fourth of July in Orlando, get to a high spot and watch 10 different fireworks displays at once. Try the top floor of the Grand Cypress, glass windows on all sides what a show baby!

Knotts: Marathon Xcelerator since the wussy GP never goes on it.

SFMM: Don't go unless I have to.

Mike Miller - SFMM: Did you see all those restaurants at the entrance of the park? They are there for a reason!

I never plan to go to a park by myself! I dont see the point. I always go to GADV with a bunch of friends and im not asking people to tell me that they never get bored, or to give me suggestions, but just some things that you do at your homepark other than reriding the rides.

Hehe, RCTfan gets made fun of because of his top 5 list. Anyway, BGW was my half homepark last year, but it got really boring because I have seen all of the shows so many times and ridden everything so many times. So this year my season pass was to PKD only. I can get bored of most of PKD, but if Grizzly is running well I could ride that all day. AT coastercon we found ourselves walking aimlessly around BGW because we had done everything and didn't want to wait in lines. At pkd, if we couldn't think of something to do, we just rode Grizzly, and everyone was happy.

I hate it when "cooaster enthusiasts" put down coasters. Why can't we just have fun on all of them?
