Although Holiday World & Splashin' Safari are closed for the season, their parking lot gates will re-open to the public later this month as the park auctions hundreds of useful and collectible items.
“A few months ago, I sent out the word for the staff to ‘clean house,’” says park president Will Koch. “Year to year, we ‘retire’ various equipment and other items. We think our clutter could easily be someone else’s treasure.”

The auction is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, at 10:30 am CDT at the Lakeside Picnic Shelter, which is adjacent to Holiday World’s “Raven” parking lot. Scott Dixon of Dixon & Dixon Auction Service in Tell City will be the auctioneer.

Something else I have done in my "storied" past....can ya believe that "hippies" call them the same thing as the military does? Weird, huh? ;)
I wonder what the arcade games are and how much they will go for...
...just ashame that 1) I don't live within 400 miles of it and 2) they don't take on-line bids... oh yea and 3) don't do free delieveries.
Otherwise, I'd be snagging up ny fine share of them.
