Holiday World This Monday

Monday and few friends and I are heading up to HW. I'm not used to going on Mondays so could anyone inform me on how crowds have been this month?

Also, I haven't seen anything more about the Legend but I thought I saw somewhere that it received some work on the helix over the off season? Can anyone confirm this. If so, is the coaster running better than last year? Same for Voyage, how is it this year?

Thanks for the help!

Check out any of the Holiwood Night event reviews in the trip reports forum for a consensus on how the three woodies are running this year.

IMO...

Voyage is better overall than last year, but got annoyingly rough in one brief section after the last 90 degree banked turn.

Raven is running great and Legend is running the best that I have ever experienced it. I wasn't privy to Legend in its prime and have never "got" it, but I enjoyed it more this time around than ever before.

^Legend has always been my favorite at the park. Raven is too short, Voyage is too long, but Legend is just "right".

^So is that "Rough Spot" the same "pot hole" as it had last year? That jarred the hell out of me when we rode last year. If that is the case I will probably ride it once to say I did and call it good. Voyage is just too much. In fact I wish I could get off the ride after the first three hills because I do not like the second half of the ride. The only redeeming factor is the triple down and the fact you are headed back to the station.

Thank you, Baby Bear.

...but how was the porridge? :)

No Swoosh. The "pothole" was before the last "90" and is no more. The turn between th 90 and the twisting bunny hop over the lifthill is very shaky for some reason. It's kinda odd considering how well the train navigates the more aggessive portions of the layout.

Glad to here good things about the Legend, it has always had potential so I hope tomorrow it will be above and beyong my expectations!

Also, have all three coasters been running at full capacity (all trains running)?

I have found that no matter how busy the park is, the line is still short for Raven and Legend. It is longer for Voyage, but it moves very quickly. Stating the obvious here, but Holiday World knows how to operate a park.
I was just at Holiday World this past Monday and Tuesday. The lines were very light! The Voyage had a 2 train operation with a max wait time of 10 min for the very front or back. The rest of the seats were a 1 train wait.I was able to get 26 rides on Voyage in 2 days!!I would of got more but I was sore on the second day!but sore in a good way.The legend was the longest wait on the ride side with a max wait time of 15 min. They were only running one train both days.During mid-day it was almost a walk-on.The raven was also a one train operation. We rode Monday first thing and was a 10 min wait. After that it was a walk on.I was able to get 3 rides in the last seat without getting off around 3pm!!The rest of ride side were less than a 10 min wait max!!The Slashin Safari side lines were longer. Most slides had a 10 to 15 min wait. The longest was 30 min for the Zoombabwe water slide. All in all,the lines were very pleasant!!P.S. went to Beech Bend on Wednesday and there were no lines PERIOD!!!Just wanted to let you know if you wanted to make the 2 hour drive for the Kentucky Rumbler.

Driven to the point of insanity

I'm heading out there on Tuesday. I'm a west coaster and it's my first time at HW.
