Holiday World HallowSwings Question

Ok, check out this picture on Holiday World's website. It seems as if HallowSwings has tested with actual people riding. I was wondering if this was actual employees/people on the ride, or a computer-generated picture. It does look VERY real though.

The future is in the hands of Cedar Point!

I really doubt it's computer generate. They open next week, so of course it's ready and running. This isn't SFKK!

Yes, it's the real thing. The ride inspectors have "sealed" all our rides (they've put the State approval seal on it), so we're free to put people on them for training and such.

See you all soon! Paula

Another question...was is the max weight limit for this ride? I found out just this year that CP has a weight limit. My husband has been riding Wave Swinger for years and probably shouldn't have been. He's 6'4", 240 lbs

We don't have a weight limit...as long as you fit in the seat, you can ride.

Thanks, Paula

Paula....great to hear your new rides all have the IN state (barking?) seals of approval. Zinga, LL, and HallowSwings were just *perfect* additions for HW, the closest thing on Earth to a perfect park...

I do hope YOU have tried Liberty Launch yourself. Those rides are quite....exhilirating...:). See ya in just a few weeks!

Just an aside to CPLady....I *think* the weight limit listed on KBF's swing set was at 250 lbs....that's the only place I recall that listed a weight max. for swings, and I'm *pretty sure* of the number. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, since it's kinda relevant.

bill, suddenly realized I've been ON topic too long.....arrggghhhh!

Hi Bill--

Yes...they saved me a seat and provided ear plugs for those sitting on either side of me.

I had the exact same physical reaction that I remember having the first dozen or two times I rode The Raven.

I think we have a hit! :) Paula

Paula - is there video of you on your first ride and, if so, will you show it at SRM? I'd love to see it ;)

What you BOTH don't know is that we had one of the HW cameras adjusted when Paula went for her first ride on LL.....let's GO to the videotape....:). Sorry, Paula....

Now I KNOW that's not true! Before heading to ride that day, I checked that the webcam was *not* on Liberty Launch...poor Paul Drabek would see it and go crazy!

Paula (who did the same when we rode The Raven...sorry, Paul)

Paula's not afraid that the webcam was a-pecan in on her ride....;)

I used to be a half-crazy almond, but then I decided to "go all-nuts" (*go walnuts*)...

Sometimes you feel like a nut....

Thanks for the update on the weight limit. My hubby was nearly 280 lbs last year, and when I saw the posted weight limit on Wave Swinger, I knew he was above it. It probably is 250lbs, same as KBF, but he's under that now having lost 40 pounds. His incentive: wanting to fit on Wicked Twister. We'll find out Sunday!
