Holiday World and Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana, will open at its normal scheduled time Friday after the amusement park was evacuated Thursday because of a suspicious backpack. Indiana State Police's bomb squad was called to the scene before 9 p.m to reports of a suspicious unattended backpack, officials said on social media. The scene was cleared in about an hour.

Which makes it even crazier, because they should have figured that if the bag went through the checks at the gate, it wasn't anything serious. Unless, of course, they don't trust their bag checks at the gate..

You're right, because if it were, there would be complaints that it was cutting in to people's ride times.

Or there are entrances where bags aren't searched, like those for employees.
