Holiday Park (Germany) Final Trip

Associated parks:

Well, it's been a while since I've visited CoasterBuzz. I've been traveling the world, and few places (save for Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen) had RollerCoasters, so I haven't been doing a lot of riding. In fact, today was the first time I've been on a coaster in nearly a year (the last being Daemonen at Tivoli last July). Anyway, as I am moving back to the US from Germany in just two weeks, I made a point to visit Holiday Park, which is just an hour away, for one final visit.

Being a Tuesday in April, the place was very uncrowded. I only stayed there for about 3.5 hours, as I had other business today, but crammed a bit into that short time. I rode their fantastic log flume and outstanding Free Fall Tower. I skipped SuperWirbel, having ridden it on many occasions, and instead focused on Expedition GeForce.

Seriously, every time I ride this coaster, it gets better. Every time I experience that first drop (the best first drop on any standard coaster, in my opinion), it surprises me. Just an amazing ride from start to finish. I rode Expedition GeForce a total of 6 times, including four straight in an hour to close out the day. By the later rides, it was really running fast, having picked up a lot of speed from the morning. Airtime out the wazoo.

Just pleased to get back in the seat again. I'm moving to Columbus OH, so I'll be heading back to CedarPoint (my home park growing up) and King's Island this summer for sure, I'd imagine.

Yay, welcome back. You can always go to German Village and eat at Schmidt's when you're missing German food.

Eh, I've eaten at Schmidt's. It's ok. It really is absolutely nothing compared to good German food. Truly, I didn't know German food could really be outstanding until I moved here. Surprising!
