"hitting for the cycle"...riding all of a breed...

Couldn't come up with a more creative title, sorry! Anyhow, it came up earlier that I have all 3 "stateside" DVs notched in my bedpost. I thought that might be pretty rare, but wasn't sure....then I got to thinking that there are others I have ridden all the US versions of: Invertigos (3), B&M speed coasters (3), Vekoma/B&M flyers (4), Intamin 3rd-gen drops (2), and Arrow mega-loopers (4). I am missing one Premier spaghetti-bowl (TX), one Arrow suspended (TX) and one CI-clone (also TX). Guess SFGAm was good, but I need to go LoneStar Coasting to fill up my dance card.....

So, what breeds have you ridden in total, or close to it.....which did you think was GREAT!, and which ones were "less than thrilling".....

Don't wanna nitpick, but i kinda miss an Arrow 4D here... ;-)

This season:
2 parks
28 rides

Hmm, I've ridden all the Giga coasters. (All both of them! :) ) All the B&M stand-ups. All the state-side flying coasters. And much like you said, my dance card would be much more full if I had been to TX recently :(

good one Peabody....yes, I have all the Beemer stand-ups, save for the one....TX again.
Hmmm, if you're talking about Batman, The Escape, that's not B&M. There's just Iron Wolf, Vortex x2, Mantis, Chang, Riddler, Scorcher

This topic came up a while ago but anyway I haven't rellly been on all of one kind. Peabody if you went on Steel Force then you have been on all Morgan coasters. Also Peabody, do you like SD2000 or MF better?

B:TE is Intamin?.....chalk up another one for the record books.....

P.S. This sure is easier than hitting a triple, esp. in my new "adult-sized" version of myself.....I can't go more than two bases at a time anymore....;)

SFgadvMAN: There are 8 or 10 Morgan coasters out there, not just SD2000 and Steel Force. I haven't been on Quicksilver Express nor Steel Eel. So there's at least 2.

About MF vs. SD2000. They are way too different to compare. Very different (see my trip report and pics), and I wouldn't want to choose between them. Everyone I know who has ridden both feels about the same. I slightly prefer one over the other, but that means nothing.

I have been on many more "one-of-a-kinds" in the US than "all-of-a-breed." In fact, I think the only all-of-a-breed Stateside I have been on is Arrow Hypers, Magnum & Desperado. I'm only missing one U.S. Arrow Suspended, Big Bad Wolf. Unless you count PCW as being stateside?

Stateside One-of-a-kinds I've ridden...
Flashback (Intamin Spacediver)
Superman:TE (Intamin Reverse Freefall)
X (Arrow 4-D)
Xcellerator (Intamin Rocketcoaster)
Batman:TE (Intamin Stander)
California Screamin' (Intamin Sitdown Launched Looper)

Nothing... NOTHING... can prepare you for... the Fourth Dimension!

I have all the US impulses with two vertical spikes (WT, S:UE, and V2 @ SFGAm), but that's really nitpicking. Once I get out to SFGAdv next month I'll have all 3 B&M hypers, which are my favorite style of coasters.

The one I'd really like to be able to claim is all B&M inverts. Can anyone make that claim?

No love for the whiners

Nope Mark Silver Star is a B&M hyper.

Has anybody ridden all of the coasters in the US?

Did you know that 1 in every 5 American teenagers believes that the US declared its independence from FRANCE???

Well, I've got all the 4D's under my belt. :)

Now, what I'm really after are all the CCIs. One day I will get there...

Look outside, I know that you'll recognize it's summertime. - The Flaming Lips "It's Summertime (throbbing orange pallbearers)"

I know about Silver Star, I was referring to American coasters, as that was the point of this thread.

Doesn't it seem as though morons always have the caps lock on?
