You forgot Steel Phantom (1991) - 225 ft. which basically trumps everything until Fujiyama.
But are we talking height or drop?
Phantom was (is?) only like 160 feet tall, but the drop is 225 (228 now) - height and drop are two totally different discussions/stats.
The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch
Yes, the drop is a different scenario, but I think (according to what had previously been posted), we were going for height.
Back to the normal length issue, I wouldnt be opposed to some trims to have the speed be aceptable for the rest of the ride for it to be done. *** Edited 2/2/2005 6:27:17 AM UTC by Touchdown***

That is, if you count S:TE as a coaster (I do).

Fujiyama's height: 259ft., Goliath's height: 235ft.
I hope that helped ;)
Incidentally, my Firefox isn't displaying the edit toolbar on the reply. Had to drop back to IE. Anybody else run into this?
We went from 200 to 300 after 11 years. 3 years later we hit 400. 2 years later we hit 450.
If you plotted that, it would sort of look like Kingda Ka in profile. Interesting how the RCDB doesn't list heights for many of the older coasters. Do you think that was a sign of the times? That height wasn't as much an issue for parks and designers in days gone by. Maybe when people didn't travel as much and pretty much went to their own local park, the need to be competitive wasn't as great. My 72'-5" beats your 72'-4"!!!
