Hey Columbus... another DDR has been installed

I'm not much of a DDR-type guy, but I thought I'd give you all a heads up on this.

WOW Family Fun Center (Morse Rd. & I-71) installed a DDR Extreme today. Hopefully it wont get too beat up for ya by the roller skates :)

It is a reconditioned unit that is maintained by Shaffer Services, not the fun center. I believe it is 4 tokens to play (don't know how many tunes you get though).

Just a heads up - have fun!

Jim

SWEET. That is like 2 minutes from my house (even closer than the spot described in "The perfect DDR spot" thread).

Though I don't much fancy playing DDR surrounded by kids, so I'll stick to the old spot.

I heard that WOW once had Pop'n Music, the rarest of all Bemani games in the U.S. Jim, you know anything about that?

EDIT: OK, I checked it out on the way home from work. The pads/sensors need replaced, but the manager seems very eager to please... in fact, he gave me two free games for giving my opinion on the machine's condition. It's loud and fully unlocked, that's good. *** Edited 9/4/2004 12:33:52 AM UTC by Den***

My blog You said, "I'm gonna run you down." I heard, "I'm an orangutan."
If you go early in their evening sessions, the crowds usually aren't too bad. I think they are closed Mon. & Tues. right now though. Saturday early isn't too bad either.

Shaffer really, really didn't want to put this in, thinking that people would try to play in roller skates and tear it up. That might be why the pads are still a little rough...

As far as the Pop'n Music, it hasn't been there in at least a year and a half.
