Hershey's Springtime in the Park, worth it?

I live in central PA, but never been to one of HP's springtime in the park events because of the price and low number of coasters. This year Comet, SLD, Great Bear, and Side Winder will be the only open coasters. With 3 out 4 being three of my favorites at HP, I want to know if its worth it to go... and pay the $18 for unlimited rides. Also to anyone whos been there for springtime in the park, about how long do the lines get for the coasters?

thanks

$18.00 dollers sounds like it would be worth it? Any time in a park is a good time. Just think next time you go you can skip those rides and concentrate on Storm runner and the rest that you didn't get on.

The Golden Rule - Try it once and if you don't like you don't have to go on again!
I've been to Hershey's Springtime in the park and it's DEFFINITLY worth it. When I went, the only time I had to wait for any ride was when I wanted to sit in the front seat or the back seat. Only problem is that Hershey won't let you stay in your seat if there's no one waiting in your line, so you have to go through the entire queue every time you want to reride, but otherwise, you'll get plenty of rides. My only suggestion is to bring some light gloves and long sleves if it's even the slightest bit cool (I'd say as high as 60* or less) because I was cold aften riding Great Bear about 4 times in a row from the wind. Just a suggestion....

Otherwise it most certainly is worth the money and the time...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

I went two years ago. The weather was kind of misty / drizzly and the coasters were only running one train each so lines were kind of long (also, Great Bear was spitting a lot of grease onto its riders). Never been there in nice weather. But even at that the lines were not terribly long. At $18 it is not all that bad of a deal... half price for half a park.

If you're a hockey fan, why not make a FULL day of it... Spend the day at Springtime in the Park, then go across to GIANT Center for a 7pm face off between the Hershey Bears and the Norfolk Admirals on Saturday... or a 5pm face off between the Bears and Philadelphia Phantoms on Sunday.

"Yes... well... VICTORY IS MINE!"
Anyone planning on going to this this weekend?
Wow, talk about opening an old topic.... but no, I'll be at SFA this weekend for their opening day...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Really long lines for every ride last year when I was there...so be prepared to wait!

Oh and Comet, SooperDooperLooper, the Bear, Storm Runner, Sidewinder, and Trailblazer will be open coaster-wise...as well as The Claw! *** Edited 4/9/2005 6:14:31 AM UTC by BigJim4Life***
