Hersheys new coaster surroundings.

Here's a link to what the new coaster will look like in it's surroundings.
I think it will be even sweeter driving down Hersheypark drive now and seeing this along with Lightning Racer and the Wildcat!

Sweet! Just like you said, can't wait to see the new sky line with Great Bear, Lightning Racer, Wildcat, and Comet.
Does anyone think that this coaster may be quite painful like the Chiller was with the OTSRs? I remember getting off that ride and wanting to down an entire bottle of Tylenol my head hurt so bad.

I rode California Screamin and that was anything but painful. I think if anyone can pull it off without headbanging it's Intamin. The Chiller wasn't Intamin it was Premier.

So, I'm probably going to be the only who thinks that looks really hideous and entirely out of place. This ride should've stayed closer to the ground.

It's not just you, Maddie. As much as I enjoy Hershey I've often thought the Comet Hallow area was too crammed and not very aesthetically pleasing, and this will make the whole area containing Trailblazer and the BBQ all the more crammed and noisy, and IIRC the BBQ eatery was one of the nice, quiet places one could relax and eat. I think the poor choice of colors doesn't help, either.

Looks fun, tho ;)

A random Mooshter's Dawntionary entry: Karmageddon [n.] it's, like, when everyone is sending really bad vibes and then, like, the earth explodes...a serious bummer.

I would have rather seen the entire coaster with a brown track instead of the red they chose.

How loud is the hydraulic launch compared to a LIM launch anyway? That was a nice peaceful area of the park.

Dragster's launch is far quieter then any LIM launch I have ever heard.

Anyway in one word *wow*

This my freinds looks to be absolutely incredible, my favorite looper is Robin the Chiller and this looks to be a nutso full circuit version......... only insaner if thats possible. Kudo's to HP.

As for the look, I love the jam packed look of Comet Hollow, I could sit there for hours watching Great Bear and Looper. My favorite spot in any amusement park other then seat 1-3 on Maggie's black train ;) We'll see how this area of the park looks after the addition.

If given the choice I'd choose a hamburger over a hotdog anyday of the week.

Yuck...what an eyesore...I hope it looks better in real life! That hill into the barrel rolls looks hideous!

That 70's Show Rocks, but coasters arre okay too. :)
Is the link not working for anyone else?

ROYALS!!!

Works fine now Bill

This helps, I watched the video about 3 times and I had no idea which direction I was going.

It dosen't help that I haven't yet been to Hershey.

Now tell me Cedar Point is running out of space.

Yeah, it's too bad it won't hug the terrain a little more.

And that *red* track really does make it look like a throbbing sore thumb.

Yes, and No. It looks a little out of place. I think they only picked red because they wanted to add color to that area of the park. If they wanted to they could have used a blue or yellow combo with brown supports. Or they could have just painted Side winder brigther, and made this coaster less bright. It looks like Xcelerator with inversions, and no fewer turns.

While I agree with most of the issues that everyone has about this coaster (the color, height, noise, etc.), I can overlook all of it for the simple fact that they didn't remove Trailblazer. It sucks that TB won't be as hidden as it has been for the last 20 years, but that's certainly better than it not being there at all. It may be the shortest damn mine train I've ever ridden, but it's the smoothest, quietest, most scenic, and well maintained mine train around.

I wasn't crazy about Comet Hollow's cluttered look once Great Bear was installed (I loved when the 'Looper was the most prominent eye candy in that wooded corner of the park), but it grew on me. One thing Hershey always impresses me with is their willingness to make their coasters unique.

Edit: I meant to say '30 years,' not 20. I can't count.

I should also point out that this ride looks *BAD ASS.*
I am glad to see that Hershey is starting to get more intense thrill rides. 1st the Claw, and now a rocket coaster. They are off toa good start. Next thing you know they'll have 450' tall Intamin non looping. If they keep heading in this direction we'll see that for their 100th anniversary. ;)
Everyone stop complaining. Just be glad we got this, some people!
