Hershey's new coaster

I think that the new coaster at Hershey park will be totally awsome. The name of the coaster is Storm Runner. I'm really not sure if it will hold up agianst Great Bear? I know that it is hydraulic launch coaster sort of like TTD(just not as big.)
Dude, are you bein serious? Where did you find this?

Just go to Hersheypark.com. It will bring you to a home page. Just click on the link w/ the cowboy on it.
Wow. I am surprised no one is ripping into the guy.

Actually, I am impressed. There is hope for Coaster enthusiasts.

I was kidding...we've all known this for the past couple of months buddy. But hey, thanks for at least looking out for us. :) *** Edited 2/17/2004 1:37:52 AM UTC by CoastinCorey***

Why is it that the hershey coaster has gotten all of this silliness during the offseason and not some other coaster?
It is pretty unique, and has the distinction of being the first Intamin Rocket Coaster with Inversions. That alone merits attention.
i agree.
no, I am talking about the numerous silly threads that have come out in the past few weeks announcing that hershey is getting a new coaster or that it will be really cool when it was announced in August and there were numerous threads then.
oh sorry. i think it will be cool.
You have to expect the silly threads. This board is very well known, and well moderated. The threads cannot be that much of a hassle.

Hey. I also heard Cedar Point is getting a rocket coaster that will go 120 MPH and will be 420' tall. It will be called "No beer and TV make Homer <something> <something>."

But why only for Heshey's coaster?

Why don't we see "Knott's is getting a new B&M invert!!!!111Den" threads?

Exactly thats my point. Not knott's, not dollywood, not any other coaster, only hershey's
Cause Hershey's is big, fast, steel and "flippy"? That means a lot more to a newbie/GP than a small wooden coaster in backwoods Tennessee, or a coaster that isn't that remarkable in a town dominated by SFMM and Disney.

Big, fast, steel and "Flippy"? Sounds a lot like SB to me. :P

I really feel insulted on a personal level by threads like these - I mean - what a hybris for people to actually even THINK they could tell US anything new about coasters! US- who's skimming the net for coaster news every half hour.
I mean come on, we've got coaster tattooed on our behinds!

:o)

...even though Hersheypark tried to stimulate awareness about its new coaster by the whole ""vote for the least silly of three possible coaster names", I can't wait to get more news, videos, pics, animations from it - it's going to be in a class of its own.
Just for filling my head with positive thoughts and expectations, I in fact appreciate a thread like this.

:)

Hey you dissin' my flippy? ;)
I'll get Stiny on your ass, then you'll be sorry!

Forget "flippy," I just hope it's going to be "shiny." I'm facinated by shiny objects.

BTW, where's 'Moosh with an equally rediculous comment when you need him? ;)

Pass da' sizzrup, bro!

I believe he is away for the weekend (maybe a LONG weekend?).

OMG I have a new sig!!!
