Hersheypark opening day.

I just want know if any Buzzer's braved the rainy day to enjoy some coasters at HP. Did you check out the new 3-d theater? Overall it was a great time for all that attended. Now I am looking forward to my trip to SFA in 2 weeks to validate our season passes.

Not truely opening day... just "Spring Time in the Park". (true opening day will not be until May 10 or 11).

As the web site "implied", Midway America was closed (meaning Lightning Racer, Wildcat and Wild mouse were closed too).

Crowds were light with walk (or near walk ons) for all operating coasters except Comet (a 30-40 minute wait). On each coaster they were only running 1 train because of the rain (safety factor... no worry about wet breaks when you are only running 1 train). Also, Great Bear seemed to be running really fast, but it was also dripping grease from the wet tracks onto the trains and riders.

Crowd was light in the morning, but then picked up in the afternoon.

Did not get a chance to check out the new 3-D movie.

The Really Big 3-D Movie is spectacular.
Yeah you are correct SLFAKE it was just the "Springtime in the Park." Were you wearing a Hypersonic t-Shirt? Just a hunch. I thought I'd ask.

Coaster Fantom:

Nope... a "Fear the Four" T from Busch Gardens Williamsburg and a Hershey Bears jacket (which I sat on while on Great Bear... figured I could buy a new T from BGW easier than replacing my Bears jacket if it got splattered with grease from the wet rails.)
