Well after working ten hours I got home ,showered and we hopped in the car and drove to Hershey about an hour and fifteen minutes away. On the way to the park we were in NASTY thunderstorms. We got to HP about 8pm and got our season passes. It only took about ten minutes or so. We went straight for the Lightning Racer. Due to the showers earlier there was only a fifteen minute wait. Our first run our train stopped on the lift for about a minute or so (we lost that race). The drop on this is great especially in the back. The LR was already flying aroud the track. I love the first turnaroud in the front you hang on the hill and in the back seat you scream aroud it. The headding toward the for this area of the race you get great air off a few small hills and enter the first duel. After the duel you enter the leapfrog area where the tracks crossover each other there is more air here and strong lateral forces in the banked turns. Next you enter the final duel and head toward the finish line (brake run). I only got to ride at night so I couldn't truely experience the true visuals of the dueling effect but it's still a another Great Coaster by GCI. The Millennium Flyers trains are cool looking but I don't care for the ratchet lapbars. They fall all the way down to your body killing the floating air time. I believe the station is the coolest i've seen yet its huge. A must is a ride on the Wildcat at night so you can see the running lights on the LR.
Speaking of the Wildcat she was running like a rabid animal. I believe the Wildcat was running better than last year it was throwing us around like a red haired stepchild. It was delievering tons of air and whipping us around each turn. The roughest spot which could have been retracked was at the bottom of the first drop. It wasn't super nasty but it let you know it was going to be one hell of a ride.
