Hershey Giant Wheel

So, Cometrider:

Flying Falcon is 14 years old and a "maintenance nighmare" (I have noticed it loaded with passengers and stuck a few times this year, as well as being down one time)...

Wave Swinger and Tilt-a-Whirl are 23 and 21 years old respectively... and we are to draw our own conclusions....

The "relatively" new Chaos has maintenance issues and on the "endangered" list....

Four of Hershey's remaining "Non Kiddie" flats that have either maintenance issues or are 20+ years old. Should they dissapear in the next few years, you think that other "non kiddie" flats would replace them? Or could Hershey be on the track of other corporate parks... Roller Coasters and Water Rides on one hand, Kiddie Flats on the other, and not much in between?

I, personally, wish the powers that be would lay off the coaster gig for a while and concentrate on adding/replacing/updating flats and on infrastructure. There are a lot of improvements (many unseen to most guests) that need to be made soon. But coasters "bring in the crowds", or at least that's the thought process involved here.

Time will tell what will come and what will go. I only wish that reliability and service could take precedence over glitz...

btw--RatherGoodBear-please remove Frog Hopper from your list of trouble-free rides....

OK, so that leaves the slides.

Since basically any ride with moving parts has been named as a potential "maintenance nightmare," it seems the only solution is for parks to put in rides that don't move.
