"I dont believe American Eagle was Summers-Dinn, it was designed by Intamin and built by contractors.....and it is still a fanstastic ride, and a smooth ride after 20 years.....only flaw is a little too much braking on giant helix."
I rode American Eagle yesterday, and let me assure you that it is anything but smooth. I love the ride, but it needs work. First, they could repaint it. Second, it feels like the ride has speed bumps every twenty feet. They need to give a TLC to this. It is my favorite woodie, when it is running wild. But when it is so heavly braked and rough and slow, it isn't half as good as it's original self. As for Hercules, it could probably use the same TLC.
