I'm going to take a couple laps on Hercules this year, I know it is probably the same way it has been. Not that we are coaster experts, but what should DP do to make this coaster a little better?

Dorney Park is da bomb!
Remove it and get something better, but as many fights as they've had with the neighbors I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon.

Yeah the first drop is good, but that brake at the top ruins it. It had potential to be a great ride, but it really falls short in every aspect. I almost like the Thunderhawk more.
I definitely like the Thunderhawk more!
When Hercules was new, it was a decent ride... not great, but not bad. It had an interesting lift hill approach and a great first drop, but the ride was pretty mediocre after that, with no major drops or airtime. When I rode a few years ago, it was so rough and painful that I am contemplating whether or not I will even ride it this weekend.
Aside from doing something to make the coaster smoother (re-tracking, new trains?), the ride could have greatly benefitted from another major drop or two down the hillside, and maybe some speed hills towards the end of the ride. There was nothing tragically wrong with the basic design, it just seemed like the ride was anti-climatic, it gave its best in the beginning and lost intensity near the end.
Meanwhile, back at CP, the Mean Streak is running better than it has in years!!!! Now, if they could just get rid of the brakes.
