Help with stacking coasters

I am currently building a CCI-style woodie, and I am using block brakes, which sometimes helps with stacking. However, even with the brakes, my coaster still stacks for about 5-10 seconds. I've tried adjusting the min/max waiting times, and still it stacks (because of the lift hill).

If anybody can help, tell me what's wrong, or give me any advice at all, It would be helpful. Thanks!

Is there a block section midway through the ride? If there isn't, put one there and try to place it properly so that by the time the train has gotten to the top of the lift the next one has past the blocks in the middle of the ride. Then put block brakes at the end so by the time that the train goes through them it will be before the next train will go through the midcourse brakes. Hope that helps. :)

At the top of a hill add a section of lift. It acts as an anti rollback and also adds another block. It looks better then throwing block brakes in.

If you're having problems with the trains getting hung up due to another train being on the lift, try speeding up the chain's speed.

Try Flight of Fear version 2.0: It's great!

Each block must be slightly shorter than the block before it. Adjusting the chain speed will make that block shorter or longer by slowing or making it faster. Its usually better to have one more block on the circuit than the trains you want to run. Double blocks at the end can help also.

It takes a lot of tweaking to get multiple trains to run without stopping. After many hours, i got a bigger version of the Calamity mine to run 5 trains non stop.

Just reduce the number of trains operating on the ride & that might help just a bit.

When I use Viper from the SFMM scenario I always set it to operate 2 trains instead of 3,that way when the train hits the midcourse block after the 3rd inversion it doesn't come to a grinding halt.

On a sidenote,I was looking in the track editor the other day & found something strange, has anyone noticed that revoloution is not in the track selection window for the steel coaster? I find it a bit odd for it to be in the game(ie in the SFMM scenario) but not in the editor or track file at all.

Just an extra note on blocking, for wooden coasters you can "cheat" and use extra lift sections for blocking. This works out real well as they dont slow the train down like a normal block break and they will stop the train if there is a block violation. Many wooden coasters used or still use extra lifts midcourse as a precaution against rollback from a train that might not have enough oomph to make it up a hill for any odd reason.

They'll stop the ride if the next block isn't clear? Even if it's barrelling through at full speed?

Oddly enough, yes. I have several wooden coasters uploaded in the games section that use the lift blocking.
