Help with Lake Compounce, SFNE trip......

I am heading up to Conneticut tomorrow to begin a weeklong trip to the lower New England area.

I will be going to Lake Compounce on Fri Oct 24 and it will be COLD - (High 49 - Low 29) - No rain.

Do all the rides operate in this cold weather? Also, what is the best airtime seats for Boulderdash (never ridden) and how are the Haunted Graveyard lines? And with the park opening at 5PM, what would be good to do until then within 90 minutes of the park?

Next I will be going to SFNE with a little better weather (High 55, Low 41) on Saturday. How have the crowds been for Fright Fest? Are the crowds light before the FF events start? Also are the best S:ROS rides in the front or back for airtime? Any other SFNE tips?

Thanks for any help! I will also be visiting Spookyworld outside of Boston, and then just visiting around the Boston area until Wednesday. Any ideas of anything fun to do?

Thanks again!!!

Have fun in Boston...It's great now with the new tunnels....there still alot to be done but its looking great so far...Hope you dont get lost...If you want additional info on SFNE go to SFNE.com and get tons of info...

Starting this year, Lake Compounce is now offering reservations for the Haunted Graveyard. After you enter the park, go to the tent on your left to make a reservation. I didn't do HG last weekend, but I've heard it's cut down on the waits considerably.

There's a Carousel Museum located in Bristol that you might be interested in doing before the park opens.

I actually like both BD and S:RoS in front. Both of them eject like crazy. I think 1-2 is actually the best bang for your buck most days (esp on S:RoS when sometimes the front can be 45 minutes extra and the line is only half an hr). You can't go wrong riding either in the back though. Just make sure you ride BD in absolute pitch black. It's insane.

Thanks for the tips!

I guess I will have to try the front and back on the coasters! I'm glad to hear about the reservation times for the Haunted Graveyard so I can get more BD rides in!
