Help! Trip 2 Cedar Point

Ok. So, I needed some help .. and what better place to look, right? I'm planning (or attempting) a trip next week for my boyfriend and I to go to Cedar Point. I love roller coasters .. and I swear he'll marry a roller coaster if he could ... but that is beside the point ...

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any local hotels that were cheap, and had decent rooms that rented to 18 year olds.

We'll be getting to the park late Monday ... and then will have all day at the park on Tuesday. I was thinking about getting the Starlight pass for the rest of Monday, and then general admission for Tuesday.

Any advice what-so-ever, including hotel would be ever so greatly appreciated!

Check out Motels or book your room online with a CC they won't know how old you where.

Thanks,
DMC

Hm. Awesome. Thanks a lot! :)
Just a suggestion, the park will be closing at 10 on both of those days. I would get in line for MF or TTD just a couple minutes before this time, as they will keep the queues open until closing and will cycle everyone through.
Oh. That is a really good idea ... I saw that hint on a tv show once ... thanks a lot man.

I think we're staying at the Holiday Inn. Cool, eh.

I was recently in the same boat as you, and I eventually ended up booking a room at the Howard Johnson on Clevland road. According to that visitohio.com thing Raven just posted, the Howard Johnson on Clevland road requires you to be 21, but I called them and they said the min age was 18, so I went ahead and booked it. That website must be wrong. The other Howard Johnson that is further away is listed as 18, but not the one on Clevland road. Strange, but like I said I called and thats what they told me and I couldnt pass it up, 89 bucks a night, and its suppousedly right across the street from the main gate. Cant beat that. Oh and I have a suggestion on getting your tickets...if your planning on getting that twilight ticket and a full day ticket dont bother, its cheaper to just get a 2 day ride and slide ticket from www.amusemetpark.com Hmm but now that I think about they might not get to you in time...still might be cheaper to just buy the 2 day pass at the gate, its 67.95. Yea, otherwise your talking 44.95 plus the twilight pass is 27 bucks, so your talking 72 dollars if you do it that way, so Id just go with the 2 day ride and slide, and that way if you feel like going to the water park you can, its included in the 2 day pass.

Say .... if I got the ride and slide ticket ... but decided not to go to the water park.. can I use the ticket to do the park twice??
The ticket if for a full 2 days at both Cedar Point and Soak City. You actually get 4 indivudal tickets. There are 2 for cedar point "Day 1" and "Day 2", and 2 for Soak City as well, also labeled "Day 1" and "Day 2", respectivley. So to answer your question...Yes.

But its not like you can use your tickets for soak city to get into Cedar Point instead...it dosent work that way. Nothing in there saying you have to go to Soak City though. But they are included if you want to.

But now that I think about your question, it almost sounds like your asking if you could use 1 Ride and Slide pass to get 2 different people into Cedar Point on the same day...almost like buying 1 ride and slide pass but using it on 2 people at the same time. If thats what your asking, no, thats not possible...I guess I should ask you to explaing what exactly your asking in more detail? *** Edited 6/9/2005 12:59:52 AM UTC by stljason1***

No .. you were right in your first assumption. I was wondering if I bought the Ride and Slide pass ... would I be forced to go to Soak City. I would, of course ... buy two ride n slide tickets .. one for me and one for the boyfriend. And then .. go to the park both days. Sounds great. Thanks for all your help!
Just wanted to let you all know how it turned out..

Only one word to describe it: Amazing.

The park was a thrill. The two days that I spent there was worth every nickle and dime, no matter how over-priced a doughnut can be!

We rode everything. Except TTD, which was shut down both days. (Suckage!) Raptor was amazing- rode it twice. Gemini was a total blast .. I love racing! Mean Streak was a little rough, but quite a nice view. Magnum was ... great! And Wicked Twister was beyond words. Max Air was a tad scary, but left me with chills. And by far ... Millenium Force took the cake. We rode it three times, all of which were breath taking.

The people at the park were so helpful. I stumbled into the food manager, who directed me to a nice place to eat ... then five hours later ... I ran back into him ... and he came from across the park to make sure everything was good with the place we ate.

The hotel situation was even better. I originally booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express ... but upon arrival they upgraded us to the Holiday Inn, at no extra charge. For two nights being under $150 ... it was a great price .. especially being within 5 minutes of the park.

I love Cedar Point ... and as a fairly new guy to the roller coaster world ... I'm hooked. Can't wait for a future trip up the states to visit again!

Thanks everyone for all the advice and help.

Well im glad Dragster being down didnt ruin your trip, but im sure you were dissapointed. It's a shame, really. Even after more than 2 years, they still dont have that thing running well. I just hope its running when im there on July 6th and 7th. The past 2 seasons ive gotten lucky.
