When I looked at it the first time, I said "HOLY SH*T!!, I'll never figure this out"... but in no time flat, I was creating some nice coasters.
You gotta keep switching from top view to the various side views to even the 3D view to see if your coaster is coming along fine.
The probem I have is that there aren't any pre-fabricated parts like a corkscrew, simple inversion, or cobra roll... so creating them on your own is very hard & time consuming.
I guess the simplest way I can explain it (not in detail), is add a straight station track, a straight coaster track, another coaster track turned 180 degrees, and then a lift-hill track. Use the side-view to adjust the heights. It works much better, and then you can even use the 3D view to help adjust the angle of the curves.
Once you play with it for awhile, you will get the hang of it. You just got to experiment and do a little "trial & error" testing. You cannot ride it unless the final piece is connected to the station, and there is only 1 station piece.

The way that the element is added in the direction the track was already heading is a really spiffy feature. That way you can build a really complicated element on the grid on the 90 degree lines and have an easier time building it, save it, then load it on an oblique angle somewhere buried in your layout.

You've just made me about 100000 times happier about this No Limits game...
Not only can you adjust the height ratio of the element, but it fits in juuuuust right!! Even a camel-hump!
Well, now the ONLY last thing that we kind of need are half-elements, like a half-corkscrew, half zero-G, or half loop. I know you probably can just modify the current pre-fabricated elements once placed in, but it would make it a little easier to make some nice giant dropping half loops coming out of a zero-G roll or just making a half of a cobra roll/boomerang so making a nice 90 degree turn within elements can be easy to pull off!
Any chance there will be a couple more pre-fab elements added in by the final release??
Making your own prefabs couldn't be easier though. When you have the section you want to save built just the way you want it hold down shift and select the SEGMENTS (not the verticies) that make up the element. Once they are all selected simply go to File and choose Save Element. Give it a name and you're done!
