Help !! RCT3 + BSOD and Reboot

When I go to use the cam on the ride my screen freezes and I get the Blue Screen of Death followed by a reboot.

I have an Athlon64 3000 with 512Mb memmory and an Nvidia Geforce 5200

This also happens with MS FS2004

Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried the latest nvidia drivers, windows updates, swirtching off antivirus (Norton Internet Security) and I am now tearing my hair out

Hekp please?

If it is consistently crashing your computer with a Blue Screen of Death when under high video load, the problem is most likely to do with the hardware.. Whether it be the physical hardware itself or the drivers or what not.

Do you meet "all" requirements? I like how you say blue screen of death, although, i know its not funny when it happens.
Since it appears to be a computer problem (as opposed to software-based, since you said it occurs with other programs), I'd suggest contacting your computer's manufacturer if at all possible. Don't even bother asking Atari, as they're going to suggest that you take your problem elsewhere.
Blue Screens of Death: been there...
DC2: you are NOT kidding about meeting ALL the requirements... any less than the required brings out the BSOD...

I'm assuming this is a Windows XP STOP error? It could be due to a few things actually. Compatiblity issues with ram, problems with Windows XP, video card driver problems. Tell me what you were doing when the problem occured, what the stop error message says/the hex number it displays, and what kind of ram (brand and frequency. ie 400 mhz clocked ram = DDR 400). Knowing what the stop error says will help tell whether its a hardware or software (OS) problem. If it reboots too fast to read the message, there's a good chance that it may be a problem with the ram. *** Edited 11/22/2004 1:55:09 AM UTC by Cameraman***
Cameraman, you hit it on the spot, the Blue screen could be due to slow ram and fast CPU, or something of the sort. Also noted, that you shouldn't mix brands of ram even if they are clocked the same, in some computers they can cause problems, because the 2 brands sometimes conflict with each other. Its either that or you didn't check the clocked rate for each and if they don't match that could cause problems as well.
