A $215-million Hello Kitty theme park celebrating the cute cartoon cat with a cult-like following will open in China in 2014. Construction is expected to begin in July on the 150-acre theme park in China's Zhejiang province, about three hours west of Shanghai, according to China's Xinhua news agency.

Vomit.
I develop Superior Solitaire when not riding coasters.
My blood sugar level just shot through the roof...
The mini-thing I went to in Japan was bad enough. I don't see the appeal, at all. It'll be a winner though, no doubt.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
If Badtz Maru is included, it could be pretty sweet.
I prefer giant fighting robots. lol

I'd like to go to a Godzilla Themepark in Japan - do they have that yet?
They tried... but there wasn't much left after the first night's "Giant Monster Parade".
Seriously, and I mention this all of the time, I want to visit a Nintendo themed park. Nintendo could make a killing off of licensing fees and selling licensed plushies. I am so amazed that they haven't tried this yet, even just leasing the license to an American park. A lot of kids have Nintendo DS's and Wii's right now.

Nope. That's lame. :)
I wonder if there is one of those walk-through carnival attractions with a Mario facade painted onto it somewhere. That would be even lamer. lol

^^^How about a RCT (Roller Coaster Tycoon) themed park!? Big pincers would come down from the sky, pick you up and drop you in the water, then lift you out, then drop you, then lift you out.
Just don't make the mistake of renaming your park inspector "Ed Markey". He immediately shuts your park down... ;)
