Heide Park Question

With the storys and track sighting at CP, do you think that this is why Heide Park dropped their ideas of building a 400+ foot coaster. They did want to have the tallest, fastest. Maybe they got wind of CP building this and decided to back down and do something else instead.
I don't think what a park in the States is doing had *anything* to do with Heide Park's plans...I don't think that too many GP from either continent are going to drop their summer plans because someone half-way across the world decided to put in a slightly larger coaster.

I think Heide backed down because it flat out doesn't need a coaster that large yet, the park is well-rounded and just put in the second largest woodie in the world...putting in a 400 foot steel so quickly would accelerate the "diminishing returns" that Six Flags is currently experiencing, and that CP is doing their best to usher in.

This isn't to criticize CP, I'm not going to complain *any* time a park wants to put in a new coaster, but if the rumoured rocket coaster is as large as it sounds like it's going to be...I don't know about the intelligence of it in the long term, it's stealing thunder from MF for what gain? One more record? In the short term, yes, great attendance spike, but is that spike worth the cost of the attraction? That remains to be seen.
