Having your own theme park

Does anyone else here have that dream? It's definately one of mine, and I would love it to come true.

How is your guy's perspective on this? What would you be willing to do to have this dream come true?

I would be willing to test the coasters :)
Definetly me. I have dreams everyday about having alot rollercoasters there. I already made plans.
I have these dreams alot. When I do, I play rct
I have those dreams all of the time. In computer class I am always on here and talking to my friends about how I want to own a themepark one day. Well to make a long story short for 8th grade gradutation awards night. My teacher handed me and award and told me that He wants to ride one of my rollercoasters one day. That was so encouraging that someone actually believes me that I am going to try and at least become a investor or owner in a themepark.
Guys those dreams are definately shared by me. Even in this competive world I think another small park could be successful(I.E. Indiana Beach, Holiday World)

I have wondered why A.C.E. Doesnt open an "Enthuisats" Park somewhere or a small chain of them. Talk about ERT!

The only problem is that to make a real "Thrill Ride" park you would need about 500 million dollars, or half a Billion. IOA was a Billion, and still needs more coasters. ACE doesn't have this kind of money, only a few people do.

If you hit a super lotto, you'd get about 70 million. That's not enough to build 10 rides, with each one costing 20-30 million. I'm talking about the newest hyper/giga coasters.

Six Flags buys existing parks, and now Cedar Fair just bought Michigan's Adventure for 28 million. See, it costs too much to build a park from scratch. It's like building a city, takes years to do it. Look at IOA.

Yeah, if I had the money, I'd call each ride manufacturer and order every ride they have. I'd have 30 coasters in my park, one after another. Each B&M coaster, Intamin Giga, each Vekoma coaster, a Morgan Giga, Giovanni hyper, All S&S drop rides, Hypersonic, X, and so on. Full versions, full theaming, indoor queues, some flat rides, and a pretty carousal in front of a fountain lake. That would easily cost a couple Billion.

There is no way to win a Billion dollars, and parks are slow to add rides because they're making profits for their stock holders and sticking to the bottom line. And if one person tried to do it, they'd get sued when someone gets injured.

Too bad the ride manufacturers don't get together and make a super park. Put 1 of each ride in a park, and then they get the money to continue developing new rides.

Yes I do, If i did It would be another Space World only Bigger than the one in japan.
Actually you don't need a good half a billion to start a park. Some of the best parks were basically started from scratch. Look at michigans adventure when it first started. It was a freaking petting zoo, as profits came they slowly started adding rides. I am talking like Starting out with a nice assorment of flat rides. 2 cci woodys and a steel compact. After a few years I would build a large lake, - the fish, and build a few water slides to along with a steel hyper. Rember walt disney was a poor farmer as a kid but he just had a dream when he was about my age to build something people laughed at him about.
Jordan:

That's exactly right. In my opinion, that is the best way to start out a park, small as feasibly possible
