Have you ever been accused of line jumping?

After seeing a lot of talk on the buzz about line jumpers lately, I decided to ask this...

Have you ever been accused of line jumping?

I was at CP on Saturday night (just stopped in to relax and see a show or too). Anyway, I was at Midway market All you can eat Buffet and a couple twenty-somethings tried to get Joe and I kicked out for Line Jumping. For some reason people like to line up at the salad end of the buffet. However, Midway Market employees will tell you that MM is not designed to have a line. It is designed for everyone to be able to walk to the item they wish. If you watch, a line actaully causes a lack in effeciency.

Anyway, these people yelled at us, "we waited in line" they then complained to whoever was in charge there, to which they were promptly informed that there was not suposed to be a line anyway.

I know this is not ride oriented, but still an amusement park experiance.

Whats your story?

Those guys are idiots. It's like they say, people leave their brains in the car when they walk into an amusement park.

Well, it's not quite the same type of line as a buffet, but...

My friend and I were waiting in a rather long line for freeway during Coastermaina. We are about to get a stamp and this guy and his family somehow missed the long line and just walks up to the cart and gets a stamp. Well I alert the security guard that this guy is cutting about 200 people (maybe he though he had a stamp for the freeway line) and the guard tells the stamper not to give stamps out to the rest of his group. The stamper thought my friend was part of this group and almost refused to give him a stamp. So I almost falsely accused him of line jumping the freeway line

The guy was now a little mad that the rest of his group could not get a stamp and turned around to face the person who alerted to guard only to find out that person was about a foot taller than him :) CP has it good having guards directing traffic for this thing.

I had someone who thought I was line jumping because I walked past the line for one row on the train in the boarding are to get to the line for another row. Obviously they had no idea what line jumping is.

People give me dirty looks at Midway Market all of the time for doing the exact same thing. For some reason they don't get it that people are walking up just to the things they want and getting them.

When I went to Epcot at DisneyWorld...my Dad and I were in line for Test Track and someone in line told us about the singles line (not sure if they still have that)...so we went to it and rode it and then went back again and my Dad and I were getting a lot of mean looks and finally this guy said "Hey...get to the back of the line buddy"....I then told him about the singles line and he said there was no such thing. Finally I got an employee to explain to the man that there was a singles line and the guy said "Yes sir there is..just go around this way". That guy who was yelling at me...his face turned red and it was great! He later on apologized to me and of course he yelled at the people that operated the ride because he had been waiting for an hour or sometihng like that when he could have came on in 10 minutes. So there's my story on getting accused of breaking in line :).
I dont think I've ever been *accused* of line jumping, but I've actually line jumped for real. I know of several buzzers here who have as well....

When parks poorly place the front row/back row lines...."jumping" is often the ONLY way to get into those rows that have NOONE waiting....

A snotty woman on racer elbowed me right inthe gut as she was standing at the front of the station also the line for the back rw. Of course the rows ahead were all empty. Anyway realizing her mistake she did apologize after but after getting nailed in the gut as hard as she hit me I was quite peeved.

I always end up going around people that just bawl up ata staion entrance while ethere are empty lines and the people will not move. UGH!!!

1989, 9 years old bawling my eyes out because I didn't want to ride Magnum. I did anyway and look at me now. Why did ya make me do it Dave? ;)

One time I was in line for Blue Streak at the point and there was nobody in line for the back, so I got in line, hoping to get on the next train. Of course, I got on the train, but it wasn't easy. This lady came up to my mom and I and said "excuse me, we were here first". I said "Umm...no you weren't, there was nobody in line for the back, just go someplace else there are seats open." Sure, it wasn't that easy, but thankfully an employee was watching and said that she should go and get in line for a different row.

Once in the station, if everyone is waiting to ride in front or back and the second row is wide open with no one waiting...I do not consider this line jumping. It is simply knowing the system and using it to your advantage.

YES, I haver been accused of Line Jumping before on Oblivion at Alton Towers, basiclly for anyone that doesnt know its possible to do some legal queue jumping on that ride, and I will explain(It doesnt actually work all the time, but 3 out of 5 times, you will normally get lucky)

Basiclly, My Friend and I went to Oblivion hoping to catch a few rides on the coaster, and when we were near to the station, we noticed one Side of the queue line had maybe a 10-15 min queue but the other side was a walk on(Basiclly, the Ride has 2 Queue Line side by side, but generally People dont realise this and keep to one side) and so there is me and my friend just walking up the other side walking on the ride(It was great), we then decided to take full advantage of this, and took another 4 Rides on Oblivion(All Walk On Rides) Of course, we got many evil looks from people, and eventually on our 3rd or 4th Go, a few people argued with us and said why are you queue jumping, I then calmly explained that the ride has a double loading station with 2 Queue lines, and I was doing nothing wrong, I even said they could get in this line if they wished, but they were still unhappy and just continued to queue up, I then went off laughing. What makes it funnier is that every 5-10 mins, an announcement will be made on the speakers to tell everyone to use both of the queue lines to reduce your queueing time, and of course when that happens, you should see the amount of embrassed faces around the queue line, Its certaintly makes you laugh.

Another example also happened at Alton Towers, I had an exit pass for AIR when it broke down on me, and so I went down the disabled entrance later in the day with a few other friends of mine who also had a pass. Well we get down to the station, and one person yelled like mad to us, he was discusted that we were queue jumping when he had waited 3hrs to ride, we then tried to explain to him that we had exit passes for the ride but he wouldnt listern, he actually swore at us and then went off to get a ride manager to tell him about us queue jumping etc. Of course he was never going to win, the manager came down, we explained the situation, showed him our exit passes, and said that everything is fine, and tryed to explain to the customer that nothing is wrong, and we all had valid excuses for being there. Of course the person still wasnt happy, and actually went off down the exit without riding in a really big rage that before, Personally we all found it absolutly hilarious, because he was actually going to be on the next train when we came down the disabled exit, but instead he delayed getting on the ride by getting the ride manager, and then went off without riding in a big rage, HILARIOUS.

good stuff, anyone else?

Last year, while in line for Mantis, a couple accused me of cutting in front of them. I thought it was absurd, because for first 20 minutes in line, they were behind me!

"It's probably because of the heat", is what the women told me. I let them pass anyway, but by doing so, I was forced to watch their show of affection for the rest of the wait. :(
