Have you ever been the first to ride a ride?

Has anyone been the first to ride a ride. I was the first on Robin with the new lapbars. Anyone been the first to ride a coaster?
Ive een the first to ride a ride for a day.
To be truthful, no one here, unless you are maintenance or the big full timers at a park, you havent been the first to ride. Maintenance, full time, and the state inspector ride before it is even opened to the public. And often, the ride is opened to employees like the night before opening day. Example: Deja Vu at SFGAm, it was opened for employees to ride the night before opening day. I was one of the first people (besides maintenance etc) to ride front row.

I HATE SNOW!!! I am boycotting snow, I refuse to have fun in it.

I rode Nitro at the Nitro First Blast Campout, the first time it was opened to the public on April 6th 2001.

Of course, thats the public....I'm sure designers, staff, and many people rode it before I did!

I went for the first rides on XF at the commercial shoot. It was awesome!

Well, on May 15th, 1999 I came 3 hours early for S:ROS... but, I definitly wasn't the only one. However, everybody was gathered around the fountain waiting for the opening cermonies, where everybody was held back... however, we managed to find away around all the gates and radio stations and ended getting right in front of the ride... the first ones! A security gueard said it was OK to stay there.. and we were the only ones there in front of the ride for about an hour. Than 3 other people managed to make it as far as us. OMG I couldn't beleive the ride was right in front of me... nonetheless be on the first ride to the public (front seat baby!)

.... However.... after the fireworks went off 3 hours later... came the massive rampage, everybody was stopped behind us, HOWEVER, the special "VIP" people had to come through.... which consitsted of about 300 people!! People were so pissed, and so was I... but what are ya gonna do....

We ended up waiting around an hour (a few breakdowns occured) even though we were essentially "first"... darn, I was looking forward to the 1st ride. Later in the day, around 4:00 or so, the line was only about 45 min and it would have been better if I hadn't even come really early in the first place. Oh well, that first ride was one hell of a ride near the back.. and lets not forget about the last (insane) bunny hop before the trim was installed.... *droooool*.....

I was on the first train of Media for Son of Beast. I'll never forget that ride. I almost wished they had keeped the jerk at the top of the second hill. IT WAS WICKED. Too much for the general public though. You guys would've loved to ride it in it's origonal form. Hey I just noticed something. I've done something Sean F. hasn't. :)

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

I was the very first member of the "general public" to ride Viper at SFGAm in 1995. First in line, first to sit down, and first to grab seat 5.2L.

Never been the first, we were there for the first operating day of Cheetah! We (ACE/FLCC) were also *supposed* to open DBH, but they went ahead and had a "soft" opening on the Wednesday prior...:(

On the other side of the coin, I DID get the Last Ride on Viper at SFoG, which really should strike somewhere for the third time, provided SF doesn't let it rust to pieces in some god-awful "boneyard"...

I was one of the first people on Test Track at Epcot and on Star Tours at MGM

I also intend on crushing all the kids that will be at opening day for SfoG's Superman. Muhahahaha

I rode MF at CP the Friday night before opening day. Yes I was an employee. CP's fringe benefits make working a season there much more tollerable:-)
I'll be one of the first to ride SFEG's new flying coaster when it opens because im working there. Should be fun

I was the third rider on the very first public Acrophobia ride.

I hope to be the first on superman. Im gonna bust some adult butt.

hehe ill try

I was on the first train of Titan... On the media/ACE day I was on the first train out at 5 AM, of course excluding employees.

I was on the first train on opening day for the Outlaw at Adventureland in Altoona, IA back in 1993 (I believe that was the year). Naturally, the ride had been ridden earlier by park staff and what not, but I was on the first "public" train. When the park gates opened, I and several other guys ran from the front of the park all the way to the back where the coaster is (not as far as from the front of CP to Mean Streak, but pretty close). I wanted that first train and I got It. I had been waiting for that day ever since I heard they were building a new woodie. I found an empty spot near the back and jumped in. I had to choose quickly before someone else jumped ahead of me. Anyway, that first ride was quite a treat.

I was also on Dragon's first train at it's "Grand Opening," a couple of weeks after it opened to the public, but the Governor of Iowa was there for the opening and he was on the same train as I was. He was in the front seat and I was near the back.

Also, I rode Shivering Timbers a couple weeks after it opened; Millennium Force about a week after its opening and Mamba on its third day . Aren't you glad you asked?

I was on the second-ever public train of the Chiller (Batman) on the first day (of two, lol) it opened in 1997. It was then my obsession started, lol...Over 4 years later I was the 9'th person to ride Robin with lap bars including maintenance and full timers, 2 weeks before it opened to the public hehe =)
