Have Space Shots and Turbo/Gyro Drops phased out?

It doesn't really seem to get much press anymore. It appears that perhaps the public is kind of "tired" of those type of rides.

I know for a fact they really don't do much for me anymore. You wait a long time in line just to be dropped or shot up. It's a bit too"predictable"

The double shot is actually a nice variation of this type of ride.  They have one at Indiana Beach.  Too bad it is not taller like maybe even half the size of Power Tower at Cedar Point.

If this is true, (which I don't believe) S&S knows, and look what they are building now...
VertiGO, Hypersonic...
If anything gets too routine, S&S has an answer!

I don't know if they have phased out, I just think that more parks have them than not now, so there are not too many openings for new ones!

I was going to say that too Peabody, almost every major park has them now.

Like Peabody said, most parks have some type of vertical ride, so not too many are opening up.   I think the Double-Shot variety is more exciting, but never underestimate Stan Checketts.
