Have older coasters got rough or have we got weak?

Well, I hear complaints about arrow's being so rough but I'm wondering if they get rough with old age or if we have just adapted to the smooth B&M's, Intamin's, and CCI.

That is exactly what I have been thinking lately. Maybe we all are just soused to smooth as silk steel coasters that anything remotely rougher feels painful or uncomfortable. I personally think that is the answer to some of the problems. But, also, arrows have gotten really worse over the years. The track is screwed up, the OSTR's don't help either and many casters are pretty rough. I can see what you mean though about us getting weaker and I agree with you.

Dave

Of course as a ride gets old, it is gonna get weaker and therefore rougher.  It would seem that with technoligy the new rides would only get smoother, but they havn't, they are getting worse, so from that I think that we are getting weaker.
DCS, what u said doesn't make any sense.

Yeah DCS, that made absolutely no sense.

I think DCS means that the technology used to build Arrows is less "acurate" or "powerful" than the latest 90's -2000 B+M engineering skills.  Engineering has changed since the mega-looper 80's, but I personaly like the bumps, jerks, and bangs that some Arrows provide such as KI's Vortex.  They make me want to "fight the ride" vs. B+M comfort rides which provide an "effortless ride"
