Is there anything that you find you have to do every time you visit a certain park, for the sake of tradition?
The one that comes to mind for me is that my first and last ride of the season at Cedar Point, for the past four years, has been on Magnum.

When I am at PKI, I have to get at least one night ride on The Beast.
I don't really have any other traditions other than that one.

I always listen to "Superbeast" before I enter a park. It started at PKI for obvious reasons and I've done it ever since.
If getting lost in a park counts, that's definitely a tradition for me. For some reason I lose all sense of direction when I step through the gates...
When at Hersheypark, my first ride is always on the "Comet".
I have many. I always sprint when the gates open. I wait till the people in line in front of me are a giant step ahead, and do a big sprawling giant step. We sing 'Paradise City' by GnR when we are excited. On banked turns we all point down in the direction we are tilting towards the ground. When I reach the peak of a large hill I thrust upwards flying uncontrollably out of my seat. On the last overbank on Millie I hang out of the car. There are plenty more but those are some off hand.

LoL Intamin2K.
CP, when we pull onto the causway, we play Nookie-Limp Bizkit.
PKI, When we can see any part of the park, we play Rollin-Limp Bizkit.
Kennywood, after we cross the bridge heading out of Pitsburg and we see that big "arrow sign", we play Fuel-Metallica.
On the second island turn on MF, I look over the left side of the train and you can see Gemini upside down (it plays with your head).

There is a new trend I read about certain people licking metal railngs while waiting in line. Do many people like to do that? I may have to try if its so exciting.
At Cedar Point, we always have to get an order of french fries, drenched in vinegar, consumed as we sit on the benches in front of Fascination. We USED to play a few games of Fascination... *sigh*
At Michigan's Adventure, last ride of the day is Shivering Timbers and a slow walk out of the park (then we drive through downtown Whitehall and Montague, down back roads to my parents home in Shelby).

Mine is to always ride Double Loop first at sfwoa
I don't have too many "traditions" to speak of, except for Kennywood. Traditions at this place center around food. Potato Patch fries with gravy and cheese. Elephant Ear. Funnel Cake. On the last visit of the year, buy a pound of fudge.
The only other "tradition" I have, is that on the first visit to a "new-to-me" park, I'll buy a magnet for the fridge, a shirt for my back, and a mug for my coffee.
That's about all that's coming to mind ;)

First ride of the day at Kennywood is almost always Jack Rabbit. Might not happen once or twice this year, with that big black and green distraction sitting there and all.

I have licked the metal rails before, its not that cool. One word of advice: don't lick wooden rails unless you want splinters.
