Has anyone ridden Superman Krypton Coaster at SFFT

I'm headed to San Antonio towards the end of the month. I will be visiting SFFT and SWoT while there. Has anyone been to either of these parks. What can you tell me about Superman Krypton Coaster at SFFT?

Also what about Steel Eel and Great White at SWoT? I understand that Steel Eel is considered a hyper even though it's only 150ft tall. I've been on Titan at SFoT, is Steel Eel anywhere near as good as the big "T"?

Superman Krypton Coaster is my fav floorless (been on 'em all). It's has the absolute best location out of any of them. Best drop, best helix, best pacing...everything. Just one amazing ride that is in my favorites of favorites. Ride in front, and back left. Those were the best seats.

Steel Eel rocked! I thought it was seriously going to suck because of the hard block brakes but wow, the first three hills are killer! Ejector, hard-slamming air everywhere!

Titan, IMO, is just "there." I just don't like the Gio hypers too much. I mean, they have their moments, but overall, I'd much rather be on Mamba, Bull, MF, Nitro, Apollo, or any SRoS.

"No listenin', you hear me?"
Steel Eel has ejector air in the back.

Superman near the front gives the best negative froces. And in the back it gives positive.

Thanks guys! Hiya ndyer. As for me, I'm usally DAN or DAN-EL everywhere I go. DAN-EL is simply the Kryptonian versiion of my real name, Daniel. But for the record, I like to be called Dan or Danny.

I was already excited about my trip to SFFT and SWoT later this month. But after hearing all those good words about S:KC and Steel Eel I'm really beside myself now.

make sure you ride texas giant.
I live only 10 minutes away from SFoT. I've already ridden Texas Giant more than 500 times. But I appreciate the concern.

Dan, I really liked S:KC. It did seem a bit more bumpy than Medusa at Marine World, though.

Hiya Soggy. I read your trip report on SFFT, it was one of the reason's I decided to go there. Well, that plus cheap air-fair LOL!

Am I to understand you didn't get the chance to visit SWoT while you were in San Antonio? If you didn't, too bad. I've heard good things about Steel Eel even though it isn't a true hyper. I'll post a full trip report from both parks when I return.

I looked and looked for "cheap" tickets for Sea World, but could not find any. Also, we would have had to do both SFFT & Sea World THEN drive from San Antonio to Houston all in the same day. I decided that Steel Eel and a B:TR clone was not worth the $70 (2 admissions, I was with the girlfriend you know) and extra time out of the schedule.

I had been looking on eBay for SWoT tickets, but nothing came my way, well not cheap enough anyway. I wish Steel Eel was at SFFT, I STILL have not been on a Morgan coaster. I'll be waiting to read your TR!

Superman Krypton Coaster's a world class floorless with a spectacular cliffside setting. Worth the trip.

Steel Eel's a small, but potent "hyper". You definitely get some butt-slamming air during the first half. Lines are also short at SeaWorld for the coasters, so you'll get many rides on both that and Great White.

Well I'm stuck with this Sea World Tiket that the travel agency got for me. So, like it or not, my butt's gonna be sittin in the front seat of Steel Eel shortly after 10:00am on the 29th. Yep, and that nice travel agency also managed to put me up in a fancy hotel were all the rooms have their own washer/dryer. Not to mention cable tv and a seperate kitchen and living area. All that plus round trip airline tickets and a rental car to drive while I'm there.

BTW, I'll be there for 4 days. The first day I'll be at Sea World and the next two will find me at SFFT. I haven't decided what I'm going to do on the 4th day yet. I might head back to SWoT, or I might spend a third at SFFT. Although I do plan to visit river walk and the Alamo while I'm there. But of course, my main objective will be to ride coasters like mad. Superman:KC and Steel Eel hear I come!

Only done S:KC and Medusa-east in the floorless catagory. Superman is the better of the two IMO.

Tremors, my 100th coaster.
Ghostrider, stopped counting laps at 100.
