The new owners of Hard Rock Park are making the rounds to area business groups aiming to strike up partnerships with local leaders. Forming relationships with area hotels, timeshare companies and others in the business of bringing people to the Grand Strand is a crucial part of ensuring the park's success, said John Stine, sales and marketing director with Baker Leisure Group, a theme park management company that is part of the new ownership group.

"Some local business owners had criticized the park's previous owners for not reaching out to partner in promotions, which is a common collaboration in the hospitality industry." - some not-so-local enthusiasts pointed at the same failure as a major reason for the demise of HRP... ;)
I didn't say anything to the park other than I LOVED the park and I couldn't imagine why anyone wouldn't love it. ;) The article made me look at it from a new perspective....one I should of listened to before. ;) But as Bill knows, I never listen. ;)
From what I remember I didn't see any real advertising of HRP when I was down there. I saw brochures in my motel and at a few tourist centers. I might even of seen a billboard but not IN Myrtle Beach. Otherwise I didn't see much else as far as marketing and advertising.
Hopefully it will work. :) Between it reopening, creating more jobs, and a new marketing plan I couldn't be happier!
